Why is it so hard to say that "we fucked up" in allowing bad matchups of Zone to screw up our QB code? Create Nickel Zone D plays that cover TRIPS instead of relying on a mismatch.

Yeah, and they'll run a bubble screen all day against it, which you're not doing.

You just keep running mid range passes over the middle and raging that underneath zones in the middle are too strong, like I don't know what to tell you.

That is called man. The formation is correct as it is...all the zones just need to move over some to compensate for trips. Both LBs should move over some.

What's wrong about the response? He isn't running bubble screens, and college teams absolutely would.

I never suggested screens.

I was responding to the whole real life comparison. I mostly wanted to see the "realism > balance" people quickly shift to balance being paramount, but thanks for the link.

LMAO!!! that was my point on the suggestion. Of course in real life, we would just run screen to that side all day and destroy it. But it just does not work currently to be a good argument.

It works as a great argument for why people can run 3-4 against trips and not be punished like they would in real life. What it doesn't work well as is a suggestion, which is why I didn't say anyone should use them, and took notes that screens should probably be improved to some degree.

I admittedly don't pay attention to much NFL, but that's absolutely what we did in high school. Running 5 wide most plays and if defenses didn't come out with adequate players wide, we just audibled to a bubble screen.
