Most minority's are in prison for drugs or stealing, and when you look at background reports that's because they had to find ways to support their families. The population of rapists and murderers are actually almost solely whites, but I don't see cops saying that they feared for their life when they pull over a white guy.

They made clear what the protest is about, i don't know how people insist to change the narrative, the protest is what protesters say it is, not what other people insist to perceive.

Aprotest isn't supposed to let everyone feel confortable, drinking some soda and laughing, its supposed to make people unconfortable, make people think and debate.

Racism isn't just slavery, burning black people alive, etc, there are levels of this, explicit, implicit, people that don't even know they are racist, its structural, its pretty easy to deny racism when you are white.

And some of you north-americans are so sensitive to this, this kind of protest is so softcore, kneeling? This ain't nothing, check some protest in Europe or Latin America.

Stop with the forced patriotism, kneeling isn't disrespectful, maybe if a player pretended to poop during the anthem it would be.

To me, forcing people (african americans) to enjoy and be proud of an anthem created by a racist, while the anthem itself is kinda racist (third verse) is WAY more disrespectiful, do you think that black americans are/should proud of the Declaration of Independence for exemple? Black people should despise the 4th of July, and if I were north-american i would ignore the 4th, even being white as i am, i would not celebrate.

And even if you consider it disrespectful, you can't FORCE respect, people CHOOSE to respect, freedom of speech is valid against social sanction.

Also, the Anthem isn't exclusive for the military, kneeling isn't disrespectful towards them, the Anthem is(should) be a symbol for all north-americans, the military don't have privilegy over the anthem, they choose to serve the country.

Finally, if you are so patriotic, go enlist to the military.

As a Afghanistan Veteran, here is my input...
Military men and woman fight so this country stays free, we fight to make sure our families, and friends are able to sleep safely at nights. We fight because we volunteered to do something that might get us killed and we knew what the end consequence could be.

If someone wants to take a knee during the National Anthem, fuck it. So be it. That is part of living in a free nation.
Does it affect me personally? No it doesn’t, which is fine with me. But if you are a civilian and want to try to talk to me about military shit, I will laugh at someone who has never been in the boots of a service member who has served.
Does me pissing in the shower bother you and affect your way of life? No? Good because it is my choice and I don’t care.

Why? So it wont be seen? If you don't want to see it dont click on it......It's a hot button topic. I agreee players have the right to protest inequality....i would argue it happens to every race based on that races individual level of income in society.....the less money you have the more police harass you based off there opinion of you in society....I know this to be true because I came from poverty and now am at the upper end of the middle class. I have been arested and abused by police for being in the wrong place at the wrong time....today the police dont bat an eye at me because I drive an infinity and wear slacks and a dress shirt. The anthem is the wrong platform to protest...what the cowboys did Monday night is fine with me took a knee before stood for the anthem....I just think there are better ways to forward the agenda they want to and instead of doing it in a way that pisses off milliones of people do it in a way that instead puts all attention on your point.

I don't think it's an unreasonable request to have a Political discussion moved to the Politics forum. Especially one that has been absolutely beaten into the ground for weeks and weeks now in pro football coverage. Allowing for off-topic posts and saying, "if you don't like it just ignore it" ruins the whole point of the forum being specifically for one topic.

I don't GAF about how people choose to honor our country/flag. It is their choice to not show respect to the country that gives them all that they have. Honestly, how much crap has happened in the last 20 years that would have the founding fathers turning in their graves? Terrorism on our soil, gay marriage, gender neutrality, government subsidized health care. So the disrespecting our history ship sailed a long time ago.

What has caused this whole kneeling conversation to explode into what it has become is the same mechanism that is driving this whole social injustice "revolution". Social Media and the immoral money hungry left that is also causing us to buy organic/non-GMO($) foods, pay "green" taxes and allow our enemies into our country unabated. It is the left that is force feeding us this racist narrative and everyone is just eating it up. Think of it as the Harlem Shake: Jim Crow edition.

Hasn't kneeling historically been a sign of submission anyways?
