I don't think it's the competitive part that people have a problem with. I think it's more the exploit seekers. Just play the game like they do on Sunday. That's why the game was made for use anyway an attempt to recreate the experience for personal use.

omg, if i hear going for it on 4th down at midfield being cheesy one more time, i'm going to lose my sh!t.

I had 2 4th down conversions all game, one on a 4th and 8 or whatever at the opponents 43 (it happens, i'm not punting for 25 yards of field position), and one on a 4th and inches. irish had 3 4th down conversions, two of those a CPU would have kicked the FG if it was a CPU game. Are we going to give him crap too? It's not like I went for it every time. The one other time he remotely stopped my offense moving the ball, I punted, which I will do on 4th and 5+ in my own territory EVERY TIME.

If I would be going for it every time on 4th and short and running an unstoppable play, THAT is cheese. Know what you're talking about before posting. Beuno, if you're as experienced at Madden as you say you are (i've been playing since the mid-90s myself), I guarentee 100% you wouldn't have thought I was running cheese at all if you watched our game. BASIC OFFENSE AND DEFENSE pretty much the whole game. Not one nano blitz all game and very minimal defensive adjustments.

I'm just going off of what I heard. I'll reserve judgement for if we ever play.

both you and sov replayed your games today... I thought we agreed we aren't allowed to do that. That should be an automatic L. Since just about everyone in the league has re-played a game, looks like I'll get to also when I'm losing a game.

I get why you're mad... it must be extremely frustrating not being able to stop a team running extremely basic plays on offense and defense. I mean I was running zone run and up the gut run plays, and 5-10 yard basic pass plays with simple routes (out, slant, and comeback) ALL game. If you made any defensive adjustments at all, you could have EASILY stopped me. On defense I called nickel and 4-3 zone and man base all game too.... is that too complicated for you to beat? The only time you moved the ball was on hail marys (actually, that's what cheese is this year)

You're such a poor loser, you tried getting encroachment penalties down 2 TDs with seconds left when I tried to kneel the ball at the end of the game. That's just sad, and that's how a 10 year old would lose a game.

If I play like a 10 year old and play shitty against shitty players, what does that say about you getting thumped against me, when the game was over in the 1st quarter?

btw, just had a game against rob, he and I had a great game... turned into kind of a grind it out game as nether of our QBs were effective all day. I'm looking forward to a rematch. He didn't try childishly dragging the game out by causing penalties on purpose at the end of the game. There were multiple times I could have gone for it on 4th today but kicked FGs instead (kicked 5)

I didnt check the clock on our game but I think it was about an hour 20 or so, with us both running a bunch... if we both threw more it would have been 1:30 or 1:40, which is starting to push the envelope for game time length. If we move accelerated play clock even down a few seconds it might help while not really affecting yardage/score totals. It's really just for human vs human games... CPU vs CPU games simmed I don't think will have really any effect.
