I'd love to. How can I do that?

league trophies have to do a lot with luck of the draw too... there are a TON of teams with league trophies that were mediocre at best. Ladder trophies mean MUCH more than league trophies. In many cases a 3rd place or 4th place ladder trophy > league championship.

In vet this season the 3rd or 4th best Hydrogen team is arguably better than the best Diamond or Velociraptor team.

Madison has been in the toughest in-tier league by ave rank in GLB2 since season 2 (clearly a bad luck of the draw when there are at least 3 leagues per tier every season)... a big reason why we only have a few league trophies

At some point a top Ladder team needs to win some SHIPs though.

Ladder is your team vs. the Universe of teams. (Meta)

Some SHIPs are BS, but since SHIP games effect Ladder ranking it's obvious that SHIPs matter too.

Not 100% sure what makes a great coach verses bad coaches. Some of those trophies are from lolGM, assistant GM's etc.. so not the best way to truly evaluate who is the best.

From an ownership standpoint, my main team, Northwest Storms been around since Season 1 and we were in the playoffs every season (except 1) and lost either in the playoffs or final game. We did manage 1 gold trophy. I think that teams record is something like 205-152-3, about 60% win ratio. We re-rolled after 1 season in vet.

My 2nd team, NW Storms started up in Season 10 and is doing pretty decent. Think we're like 47-33ish, which is about 59% win record. This team is an experiment team to test zone D since I've never tried it before and wanted to see how it worked.

I may not have 12 trophies, but I do have enough experience to know some basics of the game. I do not consider myself elite and find myself unworthy in the presence of some of these other owners/ coaches. At the same time, I can provide some basic knowledge in some position builds, offensive and defensive tactics , etc... I'm just not as verbal at times. I think there's quite a few folks who fit into this category.

Overall, I think GLB2 has a pretty decent core group of people who are great at passing on their knowledge to others if you just ask. It's up to folks to decipher what will work best for them.

go into those same people... and do a count of ladder trophies, with maybe a point system per ladder finish... then divide it up by games... chances are it would be guys like rob, sov, txsteve, boss, and me at the top, where league championship trophies isn't quite as accurate

any way you look at it, you can't REALLY trace how good someone is on their trophies... there are innovators on offense and defense with their playcalling and tactics that have altered how ALL the top guys call their games, and they deserve lots of credit too

This thread slightly touches a nerve, not that it's the OP's fault. My Central team has been top-10 ladder every season (top-6 every season since reset) and has no hardware to show except 4th ladder last season.

But we've made the playoffs every season, losing to either Ground Assault (2x), Hostile Takeover (1x), or Bronx Bombers (3x). And 3 of those losses were in title games, one in OT. At least 3 of those playoff losses were to the eventual #1 team in the tier.

That's just to echo what others have said about the bias of only looking at titles. That and I felt like ranting about our "almost titles".

Judging from the 6 pages of responses, a lot of people do.

Right. Your 12 or 13 posts in this thread make it very obvious you don't care about what I or other people think about you.
