Yeah, but offtackles tho?

A case of be careful what you wish for. How long have people been whining for this change?

Nobody wished for this, we wanted IMPROVED ballcarrier logic, not horribly broken

Maybe a new tactic for willingness to cut inside/back.

again, the issue isn't "RBs should/shouldn't cut inside", it's that RB should be running to daylight, setting up blocks (AKA running slower to let their blockers get in front of them as long as nobody is running up behind them for a tackle) and always trying to run to open space rather than running towards blocking interactions.

I disagree. RBs with high carry awr should be doing that.

RBs with low carry awr should be making random decisions (as opposed to always bad ones).

Maybe even have high carry awr runners assess their path more often than low carry awr runners too. Although with a bias towards maintaining the previous decision so they don't turn into a bunch of indecisive dots.

While I do agree that carry awr should be the main determinant whether they read lanes & set up blocks well, I disagree that low carry awr should lead to random decisions. Low carry awr should lead to consistent decisions based on your running style. Power running style should consistently try to get north/south as quickly as they perceive to be possible. Elusive running style should consistently be trying to get to the sideline (basically GLB2 running logic every other season) and dip out of bounds before getting hit.

If runners just made random decisions with low awareness then running would be impossible in any lower tier, terrible idea. Low awareness should just make the runner follow the designated pathing and not notice open lanes.

Then why would anyone want high awareness? Seems like high awareness is resulting in the ridiculous stutter-step that we're seeing right now.

Ideally the logic would be tweaked so runners only cutback when there was an actual lane available and/or the outside sealed off, and higher carry aware let runners notice these openings more. It also still helps with SA activation.

Wow

Actually the QB made the correct decision. If you stop at tick 46, you will see the CB broke the block and forced the QB back inside. Problem is he should have bulled his way through to the 1st instead of weakly trying to run through.

He had enough speed to blow by the CB on the edge
