That's actually false, they just have to be fast/quick enough to get to the route throw spots or past the first down marker (in the case of 3rd down). It's not about getting open, it's about getting to the point the ball can be thrown to them. There is a reason the best passing plays are the ones that go straight down the field and have a fairly early cut. (TE Post, FL hitch). The point is to get to the spot the QB will throw the ball and then just win the CiT roll (or in some cases comeback to the ball while the defenders keep going downfield)

If CiT was as powerful as many make it, you could certainly run a lot more plays in the book that were for 4-6 yards a pop where the QB throws much quicker. As it is though the plays OC's run are deeper and have moves that create the separation needed to make the easier catches.

I actually do run those plays . Singleback big comebacks, Curls left, and pretty soon Trips Drags will make it's way into the playbook,

Rarely though. And probably are wasting time doing so.

Play against zone defenses

If CiT got nerfed, every passing offense would be scoring in the teens on a good day.

If you want an example of a team with more physicals than reception skills, check out Logzilla. Air Raid was another back when they were still in Vet.

TT Constellation is a team built mostly around slow S* receivers with ridiculously high CiT, they're a pretty good team but they aren't contenders and they're folding after this season.

There's definitely a limit to what CiT can do for an offense.

The running nerf says high!

GE is just like 3 or 4 passing nerfs from being a relevant defense.

Your lack of scoring is mostly thanks to your terribad playcalling and offensive makeup, not current state of running.

For all the talk about running nerfs, in Sophomore, 4 of the top 12 are passing teams, 4 are running teams, and 4 are balanced.

Yes - the passing teams are on top of the running teams, but that's pretty similar to last season (#1/#3/#6 were pure pass - #2 was run - #4 / 5 were balanced). It's pretty clear run got hurt - but it's not at the point where being a pure running team is unplayable.

Bhall...cant quote here, so pls see what you replied to me.

It seems like you dont understand what I mean with early tiers. In Jman, evereyone already capped Hands and CiT so ofc you see sprinting rise. what I meant was that in rookie/Soph, you could exclusively pump those and suceed. Also...50-60 sprinting are still slow WRs who rely on their catching ability more than getting open. If you see that any different then we dont even talk about the same thing.

Anyway...you guys made this thread a run vs pass thread again, which I am sick of. Because ppls again start to only make up things so it looks good for their argumentation.

FairForever for example...why say Top 12? So you can include those ruuning teams that are not even in the Top 10, but include them in that "perfectly balanced" statistic he made there. Everyone can see WHERE those running teams rank there. Its one of the worst posts I have read in a while tbh.

I do think the running change was mandatory for Endgame. And it made Vet look really good this season! So yeah, the changes had a good effect. Everyone thinking this is also the case in early tiers: OK...
