But does it help them win? TT blitzed me with Over Will and his RO has 4.42 speed. It got him 40+% Hurries, but no sacks and 6.8 YPA on 50% completions.

FSM is at 4.3 on his RO and sacked me 3 times last season.

TT lost, but FSM won.

Just seems like only FSM is beating Passing teams with Blitzes. Maybe it's just me though.

You also lost to Whoville and MMA who used Over Will.

MMA against Logzilla:
63 Man Base - 54% and 8.3 ypa
26 Over Will - 34.6% and 4.5 ypa

Whoville against Logzilla:
37 Man Base - 37.8% and 4.9 ypa
31 Over Will - 45.2% and 5.1 ypa

But there is more to it than just yards per attempt. Blitzing also rattles the QB and makes the defense even better when the TE gets held back.

I think we both know I lost to MMA because of my shitty D call that was responsible for half their yards. Still can't believe I did that.

And Whoville did better by not blitzing. Though again, giving up 39 points didn't help my win chances.

I don't think they "won" because of blitzing. They won because of other factors. IMHO

Hard to say they would have done better if they never blitzed. There were plenty of times the TE got held back against a Man base play. That was created due to the blitz.

The difference in 4.3 lb with probably a good bt higher snap reaction and a 4.42 lb with probably lower snap reaction may be as much as a couple ticks. That's everything for a pass rush. Tick 32 sacks are a whole world of difference from tick 34 sacks.

As far as I recall, there's one more season of "equalizing" blocking. It does kind feel like rushing has been hammered after a half a season of observing it. Everything between the tackles is just dead on arrival now. You can run inside some to pretend to keep a defense "honest", but the truth is inside rushing is totally containable with sellout outside rush defenses now. That my opinion though. USC and Mcgruff handle GAs playcalling. They probably would have better opinions than my own at this point.

Fwiw, dunno what you do about it though. If you scale back a tad, GA, Richmond, and Winnepeg type teams may just start steamrolling everybody like before.

I think a possible solution to fix it would deal with how the QB backpedals after the snap, if they can speed up that process a little it would help avoid RB's and QB's getting blown up for huge seemingly unavoidable TFL's.

Also, changing the blocking schemes for inside runs would help. Power schemes will have the RG pull to help lead the way on a weakside slam. More bodies on the point of attack will help inside runs succeed.

The blocking nerf wasn't wrong, we just need more plays inside to account for it. Would help with realism.

And giving players the ability to cut back inside when there is a wall waiting for them at the sidelines. I think that would result in a near perfect balance with the state of the sim right now.

It happens, but so rarely. They need to amp up the frequency.

You have the option to operate with fancier pathfinding logic, its just got too many drawbacks to use it, particularly regarding sideline behavior.

So folks are building lower quickness backs to maximize the north/south style.

Would certainly help Elusive backs be on par with Power backs, for sure. Right now they are falling slightly behind.
