Warrior General Games

Viper pretty much made my case. I was owned by running QBs this season and in my later season games, i tried to gameplan against them using all out blitzes and zones in the flats with hardly any luck.

As a new coach/player and seeing these plays work my team over, it makes me less motivated to come back around for a second whooping. Granted I'll be taking it on the chin and chalking it up as a learning experience.

I guess my request is if a team can spam 5 plays, the opposing side of the ball should be able to counter it somehow as the players would inevitably know what is coming. There should be a spot in the tactics portion where a defense can utilize a % towards run v pass and players respond accordingly. Same goes for offense when planning against zone v man or coverage v blitz.

I get it now, "exploit plays" are anything that Steve doesn't plan on using with his reset version of the Stunners next season.

Not true in the slightest. I'll be spamming the QB rollouts for the 1st half of the season just like everyone else will be. It doesn't take any running skills on the QB to do it...and it leads to easy TD's and easy yards in early rookie. Since I want to win...I will run them.


My argument isn't that I'm "above that" -- my argument is that it is bad for the game...


and another thought: Stobie: Is it possible to break down the QB runs say by quarters?
- 1st 10 games of the season
- 2nd 10 games
- 3rd 10 games

I'm assuming that will show something.

...and then, as the effectiveness of the plays lowers (as I assume you won't be investing in running skills on your team's QB), you'll stop running them because they are far from "I win buttons."

So, you're asking the Devs to balance the game around the first half of rookie ball? That won't turn out well.

No....I asked stobie (not a dev)...in a thread he created to ask what sort of data we'd like to see for this season....if he would include rookie QB runs in his analysis. I also voiced my opinion (apparently I'm in the vocal minority) that I think the data will show they are overpowered.


That's when all the spammers came crawling out of the woodwork to attempt to protect their precious.

Are you sir saying people are blindly looking past the intent just to take shots at Steve who they couldnt beat? WHAT!!!!!?

Come on Steve, now you're upset that people have different opinions than you do? Also, words like "spammer" and "exploit" become empty jargon when you don't have anything to back them up. Is it still "spamming" if you use a HB run instead of a QB run?

lol zeb gets beat by many plays my friend, you know this and i know this. however its the best pass rush play there is, it sometimes helps against the 5 play pass spam.

are you implying that the qb left, right, left, right the whole game is not spamming? I'm assuming its not spamming because your rb is built for blocking? the reason the rollout is that extra blocker that shouldnt exist at least not efficiently. And thats whether its left or right.

Xavier needs to come back so we can spice this up some more.
