And that's a reason why many people don't really like you. You're a condescending dick who resorts to ad hominem attacks.

no...I did that. Thats exactly the situation where no-CIT-at all TEs make way too many catches. Exactly what meant. If you blitz them too heavily they get many open field catches. I can live with that. I talk about exactly those plays man. I dont complain about 70CIT high tier TEs doing it...but 15 CiT TEs doing that rregularly shows that there is a serious problem atm

GL rollout was stoppable even in rookie. It was just so exploitable against new owners who didn't know how to defend it and it padded stats like crazy against inactive or CPU. I'm glad they got taken out, I never used them much in Vet anyway.

Well, if ppl try that hard to be stupid like someone did in this thread then he deserves that I acknowledge that. Otherwise he keeps trying hard that I or someone else notices it and finally talks about it.
Like my gf using a nuance darker blond. She keeps talking about her appointment until I notice sth new

Just a matter of beeing polite, ya know?

You know, I wonder if part of the reason passing in rookie these days is able to escape the ZEB death because people just don't build LBs to run it anymore. Does anyone still build OLBs all sprinting for the majority of their rookie season? I'd be surprised.

ZEB was dirty in the past, but it was especially dirty because everyone had lightweight OLBs that were lightning fast very early in the build. They were much faster to the QB than WR/TEs were getting to useful target windows on the field.

ZEB still works well against poorly ran offenses, but the biggest difference is play calling. People have found the plays that beat the blitz. You can spam a few plays and have no problem avoiding sacks, even in rookie. Last season, there weren't a ton of great passing offenses but the season before was dominated with passing. I would tend to agree with Peeti that it is easier to consistently put up points with a passing offense early on. Rushing offenses can be totally shut down with good coordinating.

Are we sure Rookie is going to be loaded? Hoping all these dead teams get some players before the season starts because right now it looks like mostly a wasteland with a couple decent teams scattered around.

Here is more accurate numbers of what the post-GL nerf will look like, this way still has its flaws but it clearly shows you that the sky isn't falling.

We will use the Erkner Razorbacks as the test subject.

GL QB Rollout Strong - 132 x 17.4 = 2297 yards
GL QB Rollout Weak - 127 x 7 = 889 yards
GL HB Sweep Strong - 38 x 6.5 = 247 yards

Total: 3433 yards

Now lets take those plays and replace them with 3 other plays that Erkner runs quite often, to keep it simple I'll choose a Strong and Weak Side QB Rollout and a Pitch play.

SI QB Rollout Rush - 132 x 11.3 = 1492 yards
BI QB Rollout Weak - 127 x 7.3 = 927 yards
BI HB Sweep Left - 38 x 8.3 = 314.4 yards

Total: 2733 yards

It may be me, but I don't see losing 700 yards (5%) is going to completely flip rookie ball upside down. There are a million other small factors you can implement into this to make it more accurate but they all take more time than I'm willing to put in and of course each team will be effected differently.

nope...first, we are prolly the top10 rushing team with the least yards from GL and secondly that cant be replaced that way. You always have to find that one WR set where you can MAYBE run outside, as you definitely wont break any tackles. Those plays are just easily shut down if done right.

You have no idea how rookie and ESPECIALLY SOPHEMORE (AGAIN!) looked and will now look like. Im totally ok to wait this one or 2 seasons until you finally realize it.

I only watched like 2 Erkner games last season but it seemed to me like they refused to rush up the middle much at all and that hurt them against teams like Beers. Maybe they changed it up more than I know though. I don't have the data in front of me and I am far too lazy to go through game by game.

So you want plays that are not easily shut down by the right defense? Also, I had a all rushing sophomore team playing in Seasoned. I may not know what those offenses look like against Sophomore defenses, but I know what it looks like against Seasoned, Journeyman, and Pro defenses.
