First pair are 2 variations of Double Man Coverage out of the Dime Formation

Dime-Double Man Flat Zones

The next set of 4 are an attempt to make Goal Line sets useful again, they mostly have to be removed entirely due to QB rollouts from the GL offense.

Short pass play defenses are seriously lacking for Man coverage, they're all either a blitz or C1 Lurk. Created a number of plays where the safeties/LB go to the under zones rather than shells:

Nickel C2 Safety Under: http://i.imgur.com/csoOcZe.png
Nickel 3-3-5 C3 Under: http://i.imgur.com/6naFkgx.png
Dime C2 Safety Under: http://i.imgur.com/vt5Oyf7.png
Dime 3-2-6 C3 Under: http://i.imgur.com/65Vmw3o.png
Quarter C3 Under: http://i.imgur.com/3CNnj3o.png

The C2 also help a little against the inside run, while C3 helps against outside runs.

Speaking from my own mouth and not Corndog's, most aren't sim-worthy. There's a lot of GLB1 DPC 'madness' in a lot of the above. I understand the purpose in creation, it's the type of plays built specifically to stop one play or type of play, but more often than not they don't become realistic play selections, imo.

Just taking the first play on the list: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2wbz6h2&s=8#.VOSj6PnF_HV

I can't see that ever being implemented. I understand why Osiris created it the way he did, but it's just not a good play output for GLB2's model.

that's what I mean. Sorting through the stuff that makes no sense is going to be tiring and tedious. As the list gets longer - even more-so

It'll be easy to rule out plays in chunks. Stuff like Xars will likely mostly be chucked because they add a level of complexity with moving around the d-line that hasn't been introduced to GLB2 at this point. Nothing against the plays, just seeing it being a challenge with o-line mechanics should the line shifting madness begin. During my time on both the test server and the little advisory board, GLB1 spent seasons getting o-line mechanics to some point of reasonableness. As soon as you start shifting the line you have to have so many variations on the o-line mechanics so they understand things correctly and who/how they should block. Coding basic brain thoughts isn't all that easy.

The biggest issue, which I tried to address in my post, is the need to flush out play selection for each formation. We need Inside Run Blitzes for all formations. We need more Pass Medium Blitzes that truly pressure a QB, so they can be mixed in with coverage heavy plays. We need some better Outside Rushing plays that have a Medium tag. The CB fire plays work well, but they are only Pass Short. We need some Medium plays that put LBs in the flats because you can't use the Tactics Matrix for Outside Run in 3WR sets and have it adjust properly to Pass Med Coverage against the 2WR set.

More important than the plays is the tag issue.

I wish more people who submitted plays also submitted an appropriate tag for the play.

Interesting I didn't know that. I wouldn't have shifted players so much then. A lot of my plays could be kept with current alignments and just blitzing the appropriate LBs.

I do hope the categories/tags get implemented and I hope Medium plays can stop having the CBs line up at the same cushion as they do on Short plays. A larger cushion improves coverage at the first down marker.

Yeah, I was sorting though some of my GLB1 plays that work. I have no idea if they would work here though. I want a play that is going to shut down some of the spam/exploit type stuff. It is extreme but I think that is the kind of stuff that is called for. Another CB fire type play or contain play would just be the same as we already have.
