This hopefully changes at some point, or at least evens a bit.

I mean I have s* lb core that has been doing damage for my team it's all about planning as good a offense is I fear for a defense with not 1 superstar

Making impacts in the smaller leagues is great but once those S* defenders get into the upper leagues they are just sort of meh. Mostly because they end up being players built to do a couple different jobs rather than using a pair of players with 2 extreme builds to do those jobs. But the result ends up pretty much the same.

If you could utilize an entire S* secondary and work them all towards pass offense, you probably would still end up getting plowed by Air Raid for 30+ points regularly, but you might also pick up enough interceptions and/or KL's to hold them some games.

we put 7 S* players on defense for Ground Assault. Only in Seasoned so far, but early results are encouraging.

IMHO You're vulnerable to Energy/Morale issues. There's only so far you can push your Conditioning/ Heart even with Superstars.

You may have enough of an edge now, but when everyone reaches final build I wonder.

We're not gonna slack on those skills. Also, we're not as vulnerable as you'd think due to play calling. 3 CBs seems too few, but not if you only ever play 2 of them.

Let's see how good your S* SS is at covering the WR4 with the Out of Position penalty against a 90+ speed WR like Boba Fett at end build.

It wouldn't be an OOP penalty considering the SS is actually playing the SS position. However that just further highlights what I was saying earlier about S* builds just being 2 players in one on defense.

i still prefer my possession guys

especially now with the upped INTs, high CIT ratings will lower the # of INTs your QB throws

Just checked...yes, the SS is playing the SS position. But I doubt he will have 90+ speed at end build and there is zero help down field.

Over the top help is kind of overrated. It's helpful due to the stupid turning issue still in place ever since the backpeddle patch to coverage code. Besides that all it does is help move the check downs to someone else. The ball is most likely being thrown to someone open regardless. And Adder triple teaming does work if the pass has bad accuracy. But if it's on point, ya the guy is going to make a play. More reasons to get S*'s on offense. Double and triple teaming just ensures 3 chances to not fall for some elusive checks, and keep the guy somewhat covered. Then if the pass is bad/short, it's an extra person in the area to try and deflect, but not exactly a huge help if the ball is thrown well and the WR was considered 'open' at release.

That's why superstars in offensive positions are a bit better than Defense. It's more impact, more often, and you can overcome having a non-s* defense if you're scoring. But if you can afford a dew defensive guys you will be better off. On MMA, Yates is a terror pass rusher at DE, we don't even have to blitz because he brings pressure. And our superstar man CB Kevin Smith is an absolute shutdown guy with 38% recalw, (84/32) 16 pd's (49 last season). Having the passing defense handled lets us build to stop the run, as we rely on these 2 superstars to handle the coverage.

when 5 gold spin cycles leave your qb a mess that 90 speed wr wont be able to help much

Over the top help is shitty because Eye on the Prize only pertains to zone and not man coverage. Also safeties move like idiots in zone coverage 70% of the time.

meh, 5 gold spin cycles is neat at like journeyman level and below but it doesn't nearly do much at pro level outside of the obvious 3rd and longs.
