As an example - if the Bulls finished rookie at #14 -- finished soph at #19 --- then started climbing to #1 overall - that would be interesting and impressive -- but something tells me it likely hasn't happened.

iirc Air Raid was kind of hovering around in teens when they were in Journeyman

If you are actually following the build plans/strategy you've laid out, your team is most likely going to get worse, not better.

To quote 'The Wire'...'everybody stay who he is'.

There is some mobility within the tiers as far as I've seen, but not much. I can recall a team or two that managed to rise, but I'd be curious to know what role respecs and game plan adjustments had to do with it.

But if you are serious about the plans you lay out to us, your team isn't going to get much better. It's going to get worse. Teams that can competently pass the ball are going to kick your teeth in.

If you're trolling with this...expensive troll job, but well done. If you're serious...ask yourself what precedent or evidence supports your notions?

Everyone keeps telling you that if you put your hand on the stove, you're going to get burned. You keep saying 'no, I'm not', putting your hand over the stove, and getting burned.

It's great for forum chat, so I'm thankful for that.

We need more Jampys IMO. GE isn't a good Jampy though. He's not enough of an asshole. I'm kinda starting to hope he succeeds.

Bulls rookie season wasn't that good, as far as i remember. But the season after we ended 3rd ladder

Haha. I actually hope he succeeds as well. I appreciate those that go against the grain even if it may not yield positive results. Always good to try new things and try things in various ways. Not sure if the zone will ever be a great thing but it could surprise.

Back on topic:
Anybody have a DLine with pumped pass rush deflection and max height along the DLine? Maybe a little vertical sprinkled in? Blitz Awareness would also be crucial. Would have to be a pass rush specialist...Curious if enough balls could be batted down at the LOS to make any difference against pure passing teams... Would also require enough invested in actual DLine skills to not play the entire game on your bum.

I've got two rookie DT's I'm building up who will be slightly different from each other, but focus first on run stuffing, then on pass rush deflection. Both are 6'8. I hope vertical isn't needed because at max weight they aren't jumping very high.

It's hard enough for a balanced DT to get a few sacks in an entire season. Half a dozen pass deflections, so one every 5 games, could be more impacting when combined with run defense.

That's hot. I also love that he's in on about 1.5 tackle attempts per game. He only secured half, but possibly slowed the runner down on the others.

Sidenote, I find it funny that 2/3rds of his Quick Reaction trait are cancelled out by Meathead.

True, but without creating two different DT's I'm guessing caps for deflection are higher the taller you are.
