Receiving Awareness has done wonders for improving Air Raid's short passing game. We've been noticeably better since our guys mostly got up in the 60-70 rec awareness range. Short open drops have gotten much, much rarer.

He just hit 98 Receiving Awareness in his rookie season today.

1) Make the maximum run blocking caps for a WR much lower to prevent the pure blocking WR nonsense that has no place in a sim that limits roster size as much as this one does;
2) Make a bigger penalty for TEs blocking in a WR slot;
3) Make short throws easier to complete;
4) Make QBs have the option to throw it short of the 1st down marker when under pressure on 3rd down(checkbox or three selection dropdown);
5) Make blitzing LBers have to pass a tougher snap reaction roll.

This would affect higher levels a lot more than it would rookie. You honestly think lowering caps is going to change anything in rookie? All of these changes seem like they would do exactly what corndog said he is trying to avoid (nerf upper level blitzing).

Well, obviously you still need the other skills like Hands, Consistency, and some mobility to actually execute that incredible knowledge of where the ball is going off the mark.

That guy knows exactly where the ball is going the moment it leaves the QBs hand, he just can't do anything about it

Still doesn't seem like he is any different from receivers with low awareness in regards to timing his cuts or being aware that the ball has been thrown or where it is going.

Though:

That doesn't seem typical for a WR. Not sure that it is better, but it is at least not something you usually see.

Like it isn't about seeing the throw, but about creating a space between him and the defender?

Like, am I crazy or does that WR not seem to "move" differently prior to the pass being released?

In the later levels you see a lot more of those underneath zone defenders jumping to make the INT/deflection attempt even when they are no where near the receiver. Unfortunately, that only works when the ball is thrown over the top or to the outside. Any cuts over the middle in zone D are uncoverable.

That's when your Monster Hitting LBs lay the wood with 90 Power Tackling.

Or, most likely, that 90 power tackling LB has such poor investment in other relevant skills, they just watch the speed receiving TE streak down the middle untouched for an easy touchdown on a vanilla TE Post call.

6 pages in and not one mention of brace for impact

If a Mr. R gets nerfed i'd probably prefer the b4i but until that happens the added balance is too strongk, go with mr. r

Only useful for returners because there is no LoS for MR to activate.

If anything proves MR is OP, it's the fact that a decent to good SA such as Brace for Impact is pretty much never the better choice.

Not necessarily. Consider:

Everyone in the bar was looking to smash Miranda Rasmus, at best a 5/10, but only because the only other girl in the bar was Bianca Ford Irving, a 2/10.

I see your point. I think Mr. Reliable is at least an 8.5 though.

It is good.

For starters - add a 'pass catching' Mr. Reliable -- and a running Mr. Reliable -- that will take away 2 bonuses right there.

Then make it so it fires less...or its firing is more heavily dependent on carry awareness -- and suddenly it doesn't have so many bonuses compared to the other options.
