Another instance of that same play holding in just the TE this time. I think there is just a bug with this play/formation with the changes. I haven't noticed it on any other plays/formations and we clearly shouldn't be rattled at this point based on those corndog quotes.

Guess that answers my first question which is cool. However only being hurried 4 times and sacked once is a bit silly to be holding in that many players.

I watched the rest of the half and i didn't see the QB hold back anybody for the rest of the half. There was one play where I wasn't sure if he held the HB back or the play was designed to where the HB blocks but other than that I saw nothing. Its possible you just had a bad roll.

Clearly a brag thread.

If this new thing isn't forcing the TE to block part of the time it just seems rather shitty for the defensive side of the ball to me. Clearly nobody actually wants to hold the TE in because it has some of the best routes in the game while the HB's and FB's do not. Which is why this part of the game actually plays more into the OC than the DC since I doubt defensively the coverage changes enough to make it interesting if the backs are forced in. All it does is take away the shittiest targets which is exactly what DC's last season were trying to make the QB throw to when blitzing.

Take Air Raid for instance. Blitzing them is futile already. Now you are going to tell me if I happen to rattle Cleveland, I am just taking away his worst targets (HB/FB) and creating more opportunities for his WR's and S* TE? lol, ya more like my defense just got rattled.

Yeah, I see that. Still seems stupid to hold in your RTE. More important this too early rattled needs to get fixed

So far I have only held in blockers after a couple sacks in a row. So I haven't felt the same thing blastoh did yet.

Just loaded up a Edge/MO blitz package for SF, was curious to see how this worked...most likely will never get a sack.

If this holds in my superstar TE a couple times a game, I'm not gonna be too upset. But if a team can force me to hold in the primary target for most routes I'll run even a half dozen times a game, I'm gonna throw a Xavori level hissy fit. I didn't take a S* at the TE slot to have him pissed away chip blocking LBs.

Thus far I think you will be just fine. Haven't seen anything yet to indicate otherwise from my scrims.

The more I think about this - I don't get it.

At rookie: this seems much needed - essentially a major pass awareness buff when a team is getting slaughtered to minimize morale loss in rookie - and slightly slow the bleeding of extreme blow outs where a rookie team is getting killed by 30 sacks a game.

But at Soph+ I really don't get it.

I dont get why ppl argue that this is a nerf to later levels anyway...It was said that you need to get hurried or sacked A LOT to get this triggered and how often doess that happen in Journeyman or Seasoned ball?

you don't get many sacks, but you can certainly dial up 12+ hurries with some effort.

yeah, but not in one quarter...so MAYBE this would effect the very late game. However, I dont know when it exactly triggers.
