The CBs have no hesitation now and just blow past the oblivious WR...no matter their blocking awareness.

You realize you linked an example where the OLB has the QB dead to rights for a TFL, and it was simply a broken tackle that sprung him right?

I wouldn't call that successful. Also, the QB is still out in front of the HB and FB on that example. They're irrelevant to the play. Contrast that with QB rollout strong from Goalline, and watch how the QB gets behind the HB and FB.

Hell, the broken tackle delayed the QB by enough that the HB and FB were able to finally get out in front and impact the play as if it were a QB rollout strong from goalline.

I can show you hundreds of examples of that happening before the changes were made.

Yeah - at a balanced rate. Not every play.

From my 2 scrims this morning I didn't noticed any huge difference in my WR blocking. All my WRs have blocking though, so that clearly helps.

I watched a lot of queen city games before the change and have watched 4 afterwards so far and it has been genuinely painful to watch now.

edit: pretty sure his WRs have some blocking too, maybe more.

I have a lot of adjusting to do to even hope to have a chance this season. The lead block change is making all outside rushes seem unreliable.

What do you guys think? Was the pursuit logic buffed for outside runs, or was man/zone aware buffed, so they 'react' sooner?

This looked like an improvement where my FS probably would have gone inside/stuck before?

Gonna be interesting to see what AGD2D and 42 do today.

Im p sure Corndog just broke outside rushing though.

gg

1 play is overpowered, kill the entire offensive scheme.

That's all he needed to have done, touching the blocking was just lol.

Make defenders not shoot out of a cannon after they pass the insanely fast pass->run play check.

I HATE MO. You can't run up the middle or around the edge. If another teams slams 9 guys in the box, you should be able to run around the edge every time. But you can't.

Possibly not. It might be a matter of skills that didn't matter before matter more now. Romo openly admitted his OTs aren't the most mobile dudes in the world.

Sort of like how the coverage changes suddenly made footwork more important for CBs and safeties, and guys without it at acceptable levels are getting torched.

It's not his OTs causing the problem lol. It's corners running into the backfield unopposed without fail. If anything Romo's team has the most fit builds TO combat these changes.

IMO, it just seems like defenders are getting super reads, way too early in the play. Likewise, it seems like CBs are getting some free passes, which kind of sucks because not only do I have blocking WRs who should win matchups vs weak CBs all day long, but I have CBs with heavy break block/hold block on the other side of the ball. Those players have probably led most CBs in GLB2 in terms of revcakes. Those guys basically lost their competitive advantage, too.

I agree %100 with this post. They should just rename this arenablitz.com because everybody will start passing all the time due to the running game being nerfed to extinction.

I go between the tackles too, but I need to mix in an outside toss to keep the defense guessing. If the defense never fears outside sweeps, your between the tackles running is doomed.
