Not pathetic - just that they aren't really that exciting (in my opinion).


Is going from 80 to 85 in something going to be noticeable? I am doubtful.

Not very exciting though either way - even if it raised the cap 5 points...AND bought those 5 points --- still not too exciting imo

Raising a skill from 85 to 100 though is pretty nice.

Raising Conditioning from 30 to 45 is pretty nice.

Cap boosts shouldn't be exciting. You know at creation what they will be.

I agree that is nice...it will also occur over the course of 120-ish days...so a slow process.

Ya but over the process of the next 120 days you are still working on all those other skills at the same time. I agree that the cap boosts aren't "exciting" but they sure are helpful to those guys sitting at sub 40 conditioning caps.

I'd like Bort or one of the game's programmers (if any) to make an algorithm based on player performance. The better a player performs, the more SPs you get. Or if you win an award the previous season your last Star Tier will net you more SPs than other players.

Or something that is more random based on position + opponent quality + league talent quality + performance + other things, not the same SPs for everyone. I think that would be interesting. Everyone would look completely different skill wise and might bring more competition and more effort into winning.

Noticeable to you or me? Probably not, but it could be the difference for your DE to break a block to get a game clinching sack.

When you start getting into games between top teams, it often comes down to just one or two plays, and those plays get made on pretty slim dice rolls. So if you can push it just a tiny bit more in your favor, that might be all it takes.

So you two knuckleheads disagree with my assessment that the skill cap increase of 5 we get this season is not "exciting"?

Of course I know going from 80 to 85 will make a difference...but it is just my opinion that it isn't as exciting of a player development step as I would like?

The problem with front loading the entire process (specs, traits, attributes, caps) is that it doesn't leave future you anything fun to do. Old you got the fun of designing the build. Present you is just stuck signing in to click a couple of + signs in any order you feel like.


Player building isnt boring. It might be for you since you were a tester and got a jump on the game but for people like me it is actually enjoyable. There are so many builds to test, so many types of players to make. Best of all it is simple and I can feel like my guy has a shot every time he takes the field unlike in GLB1 where I have to wait months to see what my guy can do
