I won't say bad, but id say below average for a team that passes as much as you do.

but OGs QB/WRs are so good it doesn't matter how bad the OL is.

You are far rush heavier, so i'm not sure why you're comparing our cake #s when we aren't even similar type offenses?

If I were to compare you to teams who had a similar offense as you you would fall right to the ~slightly below average range

kinda funny/cool seeing how the best passing teams usually have some of the best pass defense, and the best running teams have the best run defenses.

i already told you what it is and how clueless you are. Put it together. 3 weeks from now you will finally get on the same page as everyone else just like contracts.

lol... are you going to deny cold hard facts now? When pride gets in the way of sense.

You haven't thrown out any relevant facts thus yet but it is neat you think you have.

Of course I haven't.. its quite simple.
I agree with you, yes pancakes relies on the offensive system you run, yes. The more run heavy the more pancakes.

But it scales. to say pancakes are 100% playcall is nonsense. Since both pure pass blockers and pure run blockers both pancake, and technique blockers pancake just as well (if not better) than power blockers, there is no argument saying that a good blocker doesn't pancake, because a well built blocker will cake whether you want them to or not.

If you compare all the teams with the similar playtypes you can make an avg. number of pancakes for each play style, the very heavy run teams, commonly 4k+ rushing yards and <2k passing yards range in pancakes anywhere from ~650 to ~1350ish, the first number being pretty bad and the second number being elite. http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/278/87

You can do the same thing with the heavy passers... commonly 4k+ pass yards <1k rush yards,
the range of cakes on these teams goes from about ~160 to ~350, the first number being pretty bad and the second number being elite.

I have no idea why you keep bringing up Pancakes when the conversation was about hurries and sacks. But at this point those things are almost fully play call relevant. Certain plays beat certain blitz's. That doesn't matter whether you have a clear run oline or pass oline as far as I have seen. Maybe for the near end of season sophmores the that might be the case to a degree, but for rookies its pretty much irrelevant whether you are all run or all pass skill up front.

Playcalling is always going to be a large contributor in the amount of pancakes you get. Always.

sure whatever, a bad OL won't cake as much as a good one, it doesn't matter if you run miracle plays or "bad" plays.

and the overlying point is you can relate # of pancakes to success. ofc. its not always 100% accurate because you have outliers... Good teams with bad OL like Erkner and OG and bad teams with good OL (which I won't waste time to dig up), but its a pretty clear cut trend, and you can't deny facts.
