I'd say Bonn is next but I don't even think Bonn's the favorite so maybe we'll win instead.

Biggest upset is Grizzly teams being 0-6 in taking league golds this season.

Actually, looking through the champ games, it's looking more and more like pass-first teams are all losing a lot, and it's kinda odd.

One of the teams I coach that has an offense that usually beats DAG 100% of the time gave up 24 sacks.

On top of that, I just went through all the championships that have simmed, and there is a really worrisome indicator. The team with more rushing yards won an overwhelming number of times.

Sophomore: Most Rushing Yards is a perfect indicator so far. Of the 9 champs that have simmed already, all 9 teams with the most rushing yards won.

Rookie: Most Rushing Yards is an overwhelming indicator. 10 of the 13 games were won by the team with most rushing yards. Of the 3 outliers, all of them were primarily passing teams, and in only one game (Chicago 38yrd v Dyslexia 105 yrd), was the difference in yardage significant.

It might have something to do with certain runs being the key to beating DAG blitzes. Some teams have remained committed to 100% passing even against DAG (Zorp, Dryden, etc.) while other see DAG and run these particular runs with great success.

Well, like I said, prior to this round of sims, one of the teams I DC for had developed a passing offense that chewed up DAG. Worse is that it was inside pressure that generated a lot of the teams 24 sacks which isn't how DAG usually works.

Then you add those sophomore games where teams have gotten away from DAG because the outside blockers do a better job of picking up blitzes. You still see the overwhelming run-first advantage.

The conspiracy theorist in me suspects a change was made to pass blocking before this round of sims.

The more rational part of me is reminding the conspiracy theorist that data from part of a single day's sims might very well be the outlier given that the 22 games I'm using for this trend are a tiny fraction of the overall number of sims this season.
