I disagree...stats have some effect on Hall of Fame inductees. More important, IMHO, is the impact players had on their generation of players, as well as being a leader and winning championships. See Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, etc... Team leaders on championship teams should get a huge bonus to their HOF formula, or whatever is being used rank the players.


And what about shutdown corners? They don't have great stats because nobody throws their way? Also, for the love of God, please add to the HOF formula, percentage of receptions allowed per receiver targeted for defensive players.

WTH??? The entire purpose of the HOF is for players THAT RETIRE!!! Please rename it the All Pro board. It is not the HOF.

In the video game world stats are everything. If Troy Aikman and Terry Bradshaw are on the top of a GLB HoF that is fucking terrible.

Totally understand what people are saying here. Xavori, that's my point. I frickin hate it that this is all that some teams do, so I figured, if you can't beat'em...

But worse than that is the idea that this is even possible at all I'm not proud of myself, nor am I defensive supergenius ( far from it). I'm raising this because I want to see the Devs do something to make it counter-productive to run a D in this way, cuz it's a joke. So, I wondered if removing the WR tags would be that solution.

There's always going to be something thats the best against people not paying attention.

Take all of the DotA, LoL, and other MOBAs for example. There's always a "pub stomp" hero that just destroys in games with uncoordinated and inexperienced players, but when it's actually even competition, those heroes become mediocre at best, and some just flat out awful.

Not saying that changes aren't being made to it, but it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do against teams just haphazardly passing the ball. Emphasizing it's weak points isn't going to help against teams that don't really try to accommodate it.
