To be fair, idk how much weight common sense has in this game. Seems to backfire usually

To be fair, just because your guy is set up for man doesn't mean we should assume all the players on the team is set up as a man CB. Now I will see that it seems likely, but meh.

No... If you know your player is for man, you find him a defense that runs man... If you are a coach that runs Zone, (I don't know what the hell possessed you to make that decision....) but you get zone players..

Being a man player in a zone D and vice versa is both a fail by the agent and by the coach.

but watever thats not what this thread is about

You are never likely going to play 100% zone in this game and some of the best zone placements I have seen thus far look to me like you may not even have to put a whole lot of Zone Awareness on your guy. Granted it is a very cheap attribute so I am sure a lot of CB's will end up with around 50 or so in it at least.

Having seen Superstar CB's work against me on the vet level I would say the complete opposite. Not that they are PD machines, but they make more game changing plays than regular CB's.

do cbs on the vet servers cover better?
do they use the type of technique we all recognize from real life or do they steal race the receiver down the field?
i'm personally okay with them not playing the way real life players play and still having the same effect real life players have
i just want to know if i should stop looking for they to act in a way that makes sense to me as someone knowledgeable about real world football
because its hard to believe that they will get better at pass defense if they continue to just outrun the receivers down the field
but as a tester, i'd take your word for it
and it would be helpful to a lot of us to just have confirmation that this will eventually work despite what we're seeing now
or to have confirmation that we should be mucking around with our builds until it changes and Looks different

There are going to be some differences from what I seen on the server compared to what it is going to look like now with some of the coverage fixes they have put in. Honestly coverage still had its limitations on the server but you do get people in position better due to faster speeds, better awareness and footwork skills, and they actually make plays because of full abilities and high deflection and/or intercepting attributes. That isn't to say offense was shut down by any means. But when games are 50-40 and decided by a couple interceptions, those SS secondary players really come in handy. Also something to think about is the fact a SS CB can build both coverage and stress their tackling skill at the same time. That is pretty valuable when it comes to vet league and PB's are dragging defenders all over the place.
