How about a 3-4 man where rolb blitzes outside and rilb blitzes between RE and NT? In other words same as "OLB Blitz" but with a rilb blitz, or a "Gap Press" with the rilb moved over. I could use that.
And a quarter man where only cb5 blitzes, like a "Man Base" with blitzing cb5, solid line, not dashed. Or maybe a "2 Man Mike Fire" with blitzing cb5.

Also, what's the behavior when a fs doesn't have a zone showing? Is that "cover man without move", "cover man with move" or just "hover and zone where you are"?

Generally "cover man with move"

Yes! That would be awesome.

Not really. The HB being behind the QB allows for more north/south running without having to go lateral to do it. Of course... this is in real life football... not dotball. What about read option from the shotgun then?

The main benefits of the pistol, from all sources I find, are kind of intangible. "The QB is close enough to read blitzes but far enough to read coverage" etc, since he is only 3 deep instead of 5-7 from shotgun...which doesn't really translate to code that well.
You already get the north/south thing with the singleback formations. It just kind of seems like a weird hybrid with intangibles that can't really be coded to me.
