Yeah, that's really what's hurt this game. When GLB went to age based leagues it really narrowed the recruiting base. Couple a drastic decline with the userbase and it's been disastrous. Now if you don't start out perfect, or near perfect, in the team's first offseason you're fucked. If someone with a number of dots on your team or several agents go inactive, you're fucked. Recruiting is pretty much dead. Now it's either be a part of a network or put together a solid roster on day 40 and pray no one fucks up their build or goes inactive.
I've always preferred slapping together a roster for cap 13/rookie and building the team up every offseason as we went. With the FA market so terrible now that's not really an option any longer.
