Do we need to slow players down running through the pile again?
I see a lot of players hitting walls of players and sliding through without needing to dive.
IRL (I know, this is GLB not RL), if it was 4th and 1.5 to go, and both teams are in a goalline formation, you would rarely see a player go ten yards because they are pushing against the pile and just trying to push or dive forward for the yards (unless they manage to bounce outside).
In this sim, 4th and short looks more like this:

The 3-4 its looking like is playing the inside run better than the 4-3, very stupid

(They are or they're)... and no they are not.
You've got six players lined up shoulder to shoulder who should be driving the five O-line and the blocking TE backwards with a +50% boost... there's single coverage on the two WRs to the outside, and the other players are making sure that the HB doesn't just bounce to the outside or have a screen pass thrown.

Exactly. Unless you've got a really good D-line working, those linebackers shouldn't be able to instantly move to where the gaps are and go through them. The HB knows where the holes are supposed to open, and if the HB is up against 6 man front (especially versus a five man O-line and the D-line are juiced on GLS), those holes shouldn't be there, and the HB shouldn't be able to run through just anywhere.
LBers in the middle shouldn't be so adept at attacking the HB both inside and outside. The same LB will be able to get to the outside on a blitz versus the pass and to the inside on a blitz versus the run.

You are right, players from both sides should be able to freely run through the pile at full speed.
Gives a reason for people to at least try running outside. Or at least have a pretty, pretty good vision roll to get through the line with no slowdown (again, from either side).

Do you think that in order to improve outside running, the bonus to power tackler should be split?
The outside running game gets no bonus to break tackle chance, instead you get a bonus to spin, etc.
I would suggest either changing short yardage to a flat break tackle % for inside or outside, or modify power tackler to either do the huge bonus to force fumbles OR the make tackle % behind the LOS... not both.
Obviously one of those two changes, not both.
