Not really. We've established that Alpha is awful and neither of you would have made the playoffs in Zeta.

Alpha as a conference was pretty sad, but the two teams left to represent that abortion of a conference are pretty good.

By "We've established" do you mean "I decided" because it seems to me like you're the only person fighting on your own team here bubba.

On all the GLB ballots we've had this season, only one person ever had EEA in their top 10. You got completely dominated by Korb on the 6th and you're going to pretend like you're great now? Come on.

Correct, that's a no. And if you thought so, then why did you bother posting at all? Go back to irrelevance where you belong.

I don't believe I ever said anything about being great. And I also don't think I care about the rankings much. I don't see Korb playing dotball right now do you? Originally posted by JT_HOOD

Zeta this season pales in comparison to Alpha in s21.

I know you enjoy this bug, but you do realize that you could turn around and argue with the wall in your room and get the same results right? In fact, your wall won't insult you nearly as much as Mr. Holden Thorp, I mean jdbolick does.

Without question. S21 Alpha was overrated because of the names involved. HHWC was only a season removed from its three-peat, and we didn't know at the time that their era of relevance was over. Meanwhile back then we still expected MPHD to eventually do something. Remember that D.A.D.D.Y. got the 8th seed. Don't get me wrong, though, as it was a great conference. Alpine had a good season and Lincoln was really strong by the end, but it wasn't as deep in top teams as s23 Zeta. Surely you can admit that QCBC, Canton, Odessa, Guyana, Lincoln, and Hali have been incredibly impressive this season. Mayan, Somalia, and eventually Alpine looked formidable as well, and the Smurfs had their moments.

The difference between S23 Zeta and S21 Alpha is that people decided before the season that s21 alpha was going to be great. Remember the preseason rioting that eventually prompted Bort to change how the conferences are assigned? But once the season was played, alpha did look deeper but not by an enormous amount. Meanwhile, before this season the conferences seemed like they would be relatively even, but at the end of the season there was no one in Alpha who even came close to Zeta's top six.

Come now, I don't think it's insulting to point out that bug's best defensive plays are ones he copied from me. Again, it's not their fault that they got put in a weak conference. As noted, before the season I thought the conferences looked pretty equal, I just turned out to be rather dramatically wrong.

This is just plain old fashioned trolling bro. Surely you don't think that those 6 teams you mentioned are unbeatable and would crush alpha. What I don't think you get due to not experiencing the top levels of the game down in lolpro this season is that this sim is very much reliant on coordinators and not necessarily the builds. Sure, the builds matter, but Asau beat a lot of good teams this season with what wouldn't normally be considered good builds (and bonn bonn - haven't seen the build but that dot is nasty on the field)

See, it's possible to be a jerk and prove your point without being insulting...

Congrats to the teams in the CC games and kudos to the haters who continue to slag the teams still playing.

Thanks for the lulz.

Of course I think it's possible you could upset one or two with a lucky sim, but you'd unquestionably finish behind them all in the standings, plus I believe you would finish behind Mayan, Somalia, and probably Alpine as well. I plead the fifth on whether or not I'm playing this up out of boredom, but I promise you I'm 100% sincere in my belief that neither of you would have made the playoffs in Zeta. I really believe you would not have done so. Hell, for a while there it looked like EEA wouldn't make the playoffs in alpha either.

I'm trying to think of a way to say this without hurting your feelings, but no one outside of your network thinks of you or Otega as one of the best coordinators in the game (edit: Actually I should say that "I don't know of anyone outside of your network" since I can't possibly know what every agent on GLB thinks). I've said before that you're good, and I mean it, but you're not great. I'm not sure why you keep implying that you are.

I still have wristbands I got as a kid from Kelvin Bryant. When you've been a Carolina football fan that long, these events don't phase you very much.
