This GLB tourney is pretty big. Winner of the first free tourney that was open to WL/PRO/AAA all for one trophy, where its automated is a big deal. Not as big as the WL, but bigger than any trophy ever, I wish this game was played on day 40 so we could pull out all the tricks without worrying about the wl title game and giving something away until that point. Nairobi is going to get our c game today, and I think we probably lose.

the Tourny is better competition and a better indicator of the top team in the game because it allows for top pro teams to compete and some of those teams are > teams currently in the WL

So the 11th best team in WL Alpha is the 2nd best team in all of GLB?

maybe they gameplanned more for the tourny or it proves that Wins & losses are based too much off of RNG and not builds

Might make sense to close the final 4 or 8 games to the pubic. But even so, theres prob a good chance you see some direct WL playoff opponents near the end.

speaking of trophies, weren't we supposed to have fancy trophies for pro regions and WL like 6seasons ago?

Or maybe your premise that the tourney is the better indicator of the best team in the game is flawed.

Again, people only downplay scrimmages when they lose them. Regular season games and ranked scrimmages aren't determined by randomness, they're won by rosters and AI. Maybe you would win if both of us were scouting and making adjustments; who knows.

The Uncapped Tournament was flawed due to a lack of seeding, but it's true that no single tournament adequately measures quality. You have to look at the aggregate of many games against comparable opponents. Obviously some people in this thread feel compelled to talk shit about Providence due to my involvement, but the reality is that my point about our record doesn't just come from one or even two games. We've played a lot of great teams and proven our quality, arguably moreso than any Pro team of the WL era. We'll be glad to prove it again next season.

Wrong. The only reason I posted in this thread is because we've done both. We've won tourneys and lost tourneys. In both cases I think they are fun and entertaining but do not mean much. End of story.
