This was previously a reported bug in needs more information that I can no longer find. I think Mike Rogers may have closed it out because it was a while since the last update. There are more examples of this type of behavior in that thread though if someone knows where it is.

If it only happens once its not likely a bug, if there are repeated examples it will merit more consideration.

yes that is the thread. I didn't have any updates until this play.

What's your vector Victor?
I'm guessing CB1 has Ball Hawk here.... not my team, but definitely misjudges the direction of the pass.

No that is not the message.

The message is that Aggressive coverage setting is likely to make your player jump towards the ball for INT's and Deflections. And I would not assume that every player in GLB is built perfectly to aggressively play the field with 0 errors and mistakes.

That looks like it may be the same thing. There is something causing the CB to move in the wrong direction.

But they should overshoot the play, not run in the wrong direction.

What I mentioned to Rage in a PM and I'll post here is that there are definitely examples (I gotta rind some replays) of plays similar to the OP replay where the TE runs a post and runs it into the FS side of the field and if the QB throws it to the TE, you will certainly see in a good number of cases the CB1 come off his WR and make a play on the ball to the TE.

That's certainly what it looks like on that replay..... but the problem is the ball isn't being thrown to the TE it's to his guy.

This is exactly what I believe happened here. The ball in the air can be caught by anybody, and the TE is making a play on it. He comes darn close to getting there too. It looks like the CB recognizes that, and tries to make a play on the TE.

It's not a Ball Hawk thing b/c this happens at the lower levels, too, where players don't have it. It also happens when the TE isn't there (I don't think he's part of the equation).

It's just a stupid angle to deflect or intercept the pass that needs to be fixed.
