I have no issue with blitzing working, but when blitzing is working and oline mechanics resemble a pile of dog shit there is an issue that has taken wayyyyy too long to address.

p much this - I wasnt trying to "sour grapes" my way to the loss.....props to BDC and jdros.

Not really, I was trying to run some more outside pitches and screens, but for some odd reason the RNG didnt dial them up much. I've also traditionally put a good # of plays in each package to try and avoid the RPP during games, but seeing as how the SB Screen and SI FB Screen was run by you guys with basically no effect I"m starting to think lolRPP again......

It's like they say oh it's srs this time.......Umm....no

you act like different defenses take different blocking styles....the theme of about 10 seasons has been TE block left....maybe you should open up your eyes to what offenses are stuck with.

same stuff we ran last season. Didn't get any sacks against Alpine because they actually gameplanned for us. Not that I want anyone else to watch that film.

GG though, despite the sour grapes.

Actually, that is not entirely true. I didn't watch a single snap of So Cal before setting the offensive strategy. I knew your reputation though and that of course influenced the game plan.

we aren't running TE block left on offense. And I'm doing the offensive GPing along with Greg and always have.

My eyes are wide open. I'm attempting to dictate to the offense what they have to do to beat us, just like you would like to dictate to the defense what they have to do to beat you. Not sure why you think the defense should always have to adjust to the offense.

I don't want to gameplan for our opponent defensively and I've gone many seasons with minimal gameplanning for the opponent. It's no secret what we do and LOTS of teams beat us every season.

There are certain formations some have bitched about, but other than the 5 WR set which is broken in a different way every season all of them have plays that destroy what we run (and teams with certain types of dots have even destroyed us with 5 WR sets in the past). Many just don't want to run those plays.

You guys have arguably the best team in the game anyway. What are you bitching about?

you don't need to look at us - as you said, you already know what we do. You guys actually blitzed us more than I assumed you would based on your reputation, so kudos to you.

I've never thought the RPP was very effective to be honest.

and I think if you look at the game, the game would have needed to ignore the defense you were running against those plays to help you out. Just caught you in some bad defenses there for the plays that were called.

if you watch a lot of running plays outside of the dives and long/medium passing plays...RPP certainly has a huge effect. Its not even debatable.

it doesn't start until after you run a play 5 times though - and the only reason to have a play run more than that in a game is if the defense isn't covering it, in which case the RPP isn't going to do much of anything.
