Technically yes. But their loss to LVA ticked me off

I really think you have the 7-3 teams in Lion almost completely backwards.

It could come down to your TDP games to see who gets in and who does not

I have no doubt those teams will be switching around a lot in the coming weeks. Right now though Fulham lost to CWE and CWE lost to San Fran but San Fran lost to Fulham so those three are where they are until a few more games get played. Massawa hasn't played any of them and when they do play it will affect all their standings. SCU beat Massawa so I left them up there...for now.

Give it time GM. It will all sort itself out in the next few weeks and, not to burst any bubbles, I have no doubt that SCU will drop some more while the 3 lower 7-3 teams will continue to rise.

I think its all interesting! The middle teams in both conferences could really be ranked in several different ways.

Good stuff as always!

WEEK 11 RANKINGS
LION

Bit of a shake-up in the 3-7 spots as expected. I didn't think it would come so soon but SCU and Massawa didn't manage to pull out wins against teams they should have beaten. Some more movement in the bottom 8 as well. It's all starting to shape up.

1 Franchise (11-0) - Things looked bleak for Franchise as they gave up 21 unanswered points in the first 6 minutes of the game. But then they turned it around and managed to go into halftime with a healthy 37-21 lead that would help them get the W. For 3 out of the 4 quarters this game looked like the top billing I thought it would be but the biggest difference was Franchise putting up 23 in the 2nd quarter and shutting out Canton.

2 Canton Immortals (9-2) - Started the game strongly by posting the first 21 points but they fizzled out for the rest of the first half and couldn't come back from the hole they fell in. The Last 3 weeks of the season are really going to decide whether this team gets a home playoff game or not and right now their track record against some of the better teams isn't good as they are 0-2 against S17 playoff teams. Still a lot of potential here though.

3 San Francisco Demons (8-3) - Another easy win for the Demons as they get through their bye week.

4 Carthaginian War Elephants (8-3) - Quite the beating they just handed Somalia. Could this team get any better before the playoffs even arrive?

5 Fulham Flying Hellfish (8-3) - Is Fulham just doing enough to win games and saving some monster tactics for the playoffs?

6 Sun City Undertakers (7-4) - Another rough outing for SCU and now they've dropped 3 in a row. They weren't even in this game after the first half but they had one hell of a 4th quarter as they put up 21 points. That would be 5 points shy of winning the game though.

7 Massawa Redhorns (7-4) - Massawa drops another game as they fall to Uganda and they couldn't have picked a worse time to start having problems. Next up, CWE, SF & FFH. The way they played the last game it's not far off to see a 7-7 record soon.

8 Zambezi Silverbacks (5-6) - Still in the hunt after a huge comeback in the 4th Q. Zambezi was down 3-20 before they rattled off 27 points to the Ospreys 7. Big win for this team. Was this like Silverback Week on the Discovery Channel or something? Rare to see both teams win. Up next, those other Silverbacks.

9 Philly Franklins (5-6) - Huge win for the Franklins keeps them in the thick of the playoff race too. That 8th seed is going to be a battle.

10 Lincoln Saints (5-6) - My upset pick of the week delivered in spades as they jumped all over SCU in the first half to take a commanding lead. They almost gave it up in the 4th but held on for the W.

11 Hobart Tazzy Tigers (4-7) - The loss to Philly may have put an end to any playoff talks for this team.

12 Somalia Pirates (4-7) - Huge loss to CWE and the next 2 weeks will be more of the same.

13 Uganda Silverbacks (3-8) - Where have you guys been? Seriously. That was a big upset win which brings to question where this type of performance has been hiding all season long. It's too late to save the season but that was a big win for this team.

14 Newfoundland Ospreys (3-8) - Can we say 4th quarter meltdown?

15 Wheel City Dragons (1-10) - With Hobart, Philly, Mafia & Somalia up next there has to be another win in there somewhere.

16 African Mafia (0-11) - Done for the season.

ELEPHANT

Thanks to ICB/WWR you guys totally made the 2-4 seeds a big clusterfuck so enjoy having each and every one of you ranked 2-4 until someone loses.

1 Sons of Anubis (11-0) - I'm out of things to say about this team. Enjoy the vacation the next 3 weeks.

2-4 Windhoek White Rhinos (9-2) - This last loss could end up costing the Rhinos the 2 seed. The good news, with their remaining schedule they should win out if they give it their all. Bad news, I appear to have lost my magic touch. Sorry guys.

2-4 Black Sea Sunami (9-2) - Easy win over ABD sets up the 2-4 seeds for some tiebreaking. Neither team has a horrible schedule so it's not far off to see these guys all end up 14-2. We'll see how it shakes up.

2-4 Ivory Coast Breakers (9-2) - Big win over the Rhinos could earn them the 2 seed in the long run. I'm going to wait to shift things around in the rankings a bit though because it's become a clusterfuck with ICB beating WWR, WWR beating BSS and BSS beating ICB. Thanks guys for making my life difficult.

5 Guyana Generalissimo's (7-4) - Lost to SoA. Shocking. They'll need to bounce back quickly. The next 3 weeks will be critical for seeding.

6 Angola Blood Diamonds (6-5) - Another loss for ABD is making things rough. While they're out of contention for a home playoff spot they still don't want to drop to the 7th or 8th seed. The week 14 game against Guyana will be a big one for them.

7 The Dead Presidents (6-5) - Easy bye week win. Should be able to take the next 2 games before a tough 3 game stretch to finish up.

8 The African Predators (6-5) - TAP brings home a big win over RAWK. It was one they needed if they want to stay on course for the playoffs.

9 A7 Nation Army (5-6) - Big improvement from this squad lately but they have about 2 wins left in them at this point.

10 Ron's Texans (5-6) - 3 in a row. Next week should be a win and then a big game against A7 to see who's staying in the playoff hunt.

11 MaRAWK!!o (4-7) - Most likely done for the season. Hellish schedule.

12 Ethiopian Camel Snackers (4-7) - Like Zimbabwe, getting 6 wins will be the highest they go this season.

13 Zimbabwe Rebels (3-8) - After a rough season they may be happy to just make it to 6 wins.

14 Las Vegas Avengers (2-9) - Big loss. Same story.

15 Laos King Pongers (2-9) - Still losing but I let you guys out of the basement finally.

16 Kickin Djibouti (0-11) - Nothing left to say at this point.

This is actually not true at all for many reasons. First I'm pretty sure all the new APL teams made the playoffs last season in AAA. Second, Kenya Diggits actually made the playoffs up here, and we played them basically their last game before gutting (ok, they were partially gutted already)

foiled again by these meddling kids

Sorry for the late post but I just could not stay sober enough to handle these over the weekend. These will be short since there are games today that will probably alter the rankings further.

WEEK 12 RANKINGS
LION

1 Franchise (12-0) - Spent the last 2 games dismantling playoff teams. Nothing to stop them from 16-0 except themselves.

2 Canton Immortals (10-2) - Easy one for Canton. They should take the game against Uganda and then the last 3 games will be huge in terms of seeding. They could cement themselves as the #2 seed or drop right out of home game contention.

3 Carthaginian War Elephants (9-3) - Dominated Massawa and that will move them up to #3. Canton stands as the biggest threat remaining for this team and a win there would push CWE to #2.

4 Fulham Flying Hellfish (9-3) - Another easy game for the Hellfish. They'll face a dangerous Somalia team that they can't overlook and still have Massawa and Canton left so a rough schedule remaining.

5 San Francisco Demons (8-4) - Ouch. 5 INTs hurts this team against Somalia and that was a very ill-timed loss with the playoff race in full swing the next few weeks.

6 Sun City Undertakers (7-5) - 4 losses in a row now and things are not looking good heading into the playoff chase. CWE and SF will make it hard for this team to finish any better than 9-7 and the way they've been playing lately that might be optimistic.

7 Massawa Redhorns (7-5) - A rough loss to CWE on the heels of an upset by Uganda. Things are going to be rough the next 2 weeks so the Redhorns really need to stay on top of things. PS - Sad to here you guys are closing up shop.

8 Philly Franklins (6-6) - Philly is keeping their hopes alive for now after taking down Lincoln. Favorable schedule should see them get to 9-7 which would most likely wrap up the 8th seed since they've beaten most of the other teams beneath them.

9 Zambezi Silverbacks (5-7) - Tough loss for Zambezi and with CWE, SF & FFH up next they are pretty much eliminated from the race.

10 Lincoln Saints (5-7) - Lincoln dropped a must have game and are out of the race with Franchise and CWE remaining.

11 Somalia Pirates (5-7) - Shocking win over the Demons might keep them alive in the playoff race. Still a very large outside chance of them making it and it would revolve around other teams falling apart. If they upset Fulham they could even finish up 9-7 and this team is so unpredictable I won't even say that's not possible at this point.

12 Hobart Tazzy Tigers (5-7) - Hobart gets by Wheel City but I don't see it being enough to chase down Philly for the 8th seed at this point.

13 Uganda Silverbacks (4-8) - Hard battle for Uganda and in the end they won the turnover battle to come away with the victory.

14 Newfoundland Ospreys (3-9) - Didn't expect anything more than that outcome. Maybe they can shock us and take down SCU but it's doubtful.

15 Wheel City Dragons (1-11) - Another tough loss for the Dragons. Their best shot at a win will be against the Mafia but that won't be enough to keep them APL next season.

16 African Mafia (0-12) - Done for the season.

ELEPHANT

1 Sons of Anubis (12-0) - Still coasting to 16-0.

2-4 Windhoek White Rhinos (10-2) - Pretty easy schedule remaining and they have to hope that will be enough to keep the #2 seed. It will be a tight race to the end.

2-4 Black Sea Sunami (10-2) - Easy win against LVA and they just need to stay on top of things with 4 winnable games remaining.

2-4 Ivory Coast Breakers (10-2) - Dominated ABD and have a favorable schedule. If they get by Guyana next week the 2-4 seeds will be a mess.

5 Guyana Generalissimo's (7-5) - Another rough loss. Can they do better against ICB? They can still stay on pace for the 5th seed if they win 3 of the last 4.

6 Angola Blood Diamonds (6-6) - They've now won 1 game out of the last 7. Still have 3 favorable games left so the Guyana game will be the last big one for the season.

7 The Dead Presidents (7-5) - They don't have the easiest of schedules remaining which is why I still have them ranked 7th. Any slip-ups the next 3 weeks could really hurt their playoff chances and with SoA looming in week 16 they can't afford to drop another game.

8 The African Predators (7-5) - The last 3 games will really determine if they make the playoffs. They'll face a better A7 team and traditionally strong teams in TDP and BSS.

9 A7 Nation Army (6-6) - Dominated ECS and will face some stiff competition against playoff hopefuls in the Texans and TAP the next 2 weeks. Winning those 2 could give them tiebreakers to sneak away with the 8th seed.

10 Ron's Texans (6-6) - Texans are still in the hunt after an easy week. They MUST beat A7 if they want to stay in the race.

11 MaRAWK!!o (4-8) - Don't think they have another win left in them this season.

12 Ethiopian Camel Snackers (4-8) - Not seeing a win here the next 2 weeks.

13 Zimbabwe Rebels (3-9) - I can't see this team faring any better against BSS next week so they're looking at 6-10 at best but most likely 5-11.

14 Las Vegas Avengers (2-10) - Another loss.

15 Laos King Pongers (2-10) - Done for the season.

16 Kickin Djibouti (0-12) - Done for the season.
