actually, WL was created because every Pro league not named USAPL or CPL failed so hard, it was laughable.

They were on the verge of falling apart though. Replenishing an entire roster every 1-2 seasons started to where thin on people, I imagine if they had the foresight to have an extended plateau a lot of the competition problems would not have eroded so badly.
