Nice game today Jason- that was one hell of a battle.

Tell ya what, without the INT in the 3rd, we had it. Nice march to score on that drive though, lord knows neither one of us had very many other great drives in that hardcore defensive battle.

Good game Nebraska.

I 'watched' the play by play w/o knowing the outcome. It was quite suspenseful! Two HUGE things were of course the INT as the Horns had all the momentum driving for a score. The other was Groce seemed to knock down every other pass! Great game by both teams and very possibly a 2nd round matchup.

i was going to say the same thing about Groce. he had several very key PDs. the INT was the game killer, especially since it went the other way for a score....great game...hope to see you guys again in the playoffs!

I fought the plan to put Groce in at that position. and our GM kept giving me great reasons to put him in that spot. I can tell ya I wont fight it anymore. 7 tackles and 7 PD's Damn that game was one of the best I have seen so far since I joined this game.

Thought I'd go ahead and post mine over here for all you that don't read the Alpha thread.

Week 16 Predications:

Drunken Munkeys over Victoria Assassins

Let's see, Munkeys = best pass combo's in the League + Assassins = One of the worst pass defenses in the League added all up and you have Munkeys by a mile and a half.

Rotterdam Cheetahs over Amsterdam Smokers

The Cheetahs own 2 - 1,000 yard rushers and playing games with the line-up, very solid team. The Smokers are only allowing 61 yards per game on the ground, MIGHT stop them but having 2 of them coming at them just may be too much. Close game.

Dublin Boghoppers over Cologne Cauchemar

The Boghoppers rush alot, the Cauchemar have a terrible rushing defense, the 4th worst of all 32 teams. The Cauchemar could use the pass on offense as the Boghoppers pass defense is somewhat below average, but I doubt they can hang.

Brussels Massacre over Bolderslev Pirates

Neither team is particuraly good at rushing, but both are average in the pass. The Massacre will throw all over the Pirates in this one.

Yorktown Generals over Glasgow Doom

Looks close on paper, but It'll have to give this to the Generals on the passing attack alone. The Doom have been on the wrong side of the W-L column lately, this could be 3 in a row to head into the playoffs, not good.

Oslo Norsemen over Newark Nomads

This is about as close as they get this week, the Norsemen in a really close one, could be one to watch.

Amsterdam Red Lights over Oklahoma Sooners

Not only are the ARL's better, they are not named after a school known for choking. Red Lights win big here.

Athens Nighthawks over Naples Tormentors

The Nighthawks have been hard to read lately with all the changes but SHOULD overcome the chem in this match. The Tormentors aren't good at passing, rushing or defense, this isn't a good combination.

Iceland Dream Team over Chrulle Mavericks

IDT is a damn good rushing team, the Mavericks are, by far, the worst rushing defense in the League. IDT in a run-a-way.

Dayton <-FnA-> over Windsor Rebels

Again, the standing law, I won't pick my team to lose, but we should win this one.

Venice Romantics over Arlington Avalanche

The Avalanche really have no shot here, unless she gives up or forgets to train everyone back to 100%. No team has ever beaten a team ranked 6 points higher straight up, period.

Longhorn Legion over Coventry Terror

Looks like a good one on paper but the planning will be the difference here, the Legion seem to have it down while the Terror are hit-and-miss. The Terror could get some yards in the air but probably not many points,

Barcelona Admirals over Berlin Ch 4 News Team

After the stunning victory over the Nighthawks last wee, the Admirals could pull it two in a row here as the News Team has been in a funk the last half of the season.

Hamburg Gangsters over Maniac Shadows

Gangsters rush a LOT, the Shadows have had trouble stopping it. In fact the Gangsters are in 32nd in passing yards and 1st in rushing yards. Gangsters all over the Shadows in a landslide.

Turin THUNDER over Syracuse Slashers

No detail needed here, the Thunder are near the top in every offensive catagory, the Slashers are near the bottom in every defensive catagory.

Nebraska Blackshirts over Burnt Orange Rising

This could be the most lopsided game of the week, the 6 point rule is in effect for this game also.

Looks like I have Alpha 9-7 over Zeta.

Thoughts?

I would have taken the Smokers over the Cheetahs, but otherwise, pretty spot on. Am a little worried that the Terror have a record so poor, but seem to line up some pretty good players.

Like I said Smokers will get their blunts taken, and their pride smashed. E-40 will be serving pancakes all day, and Mac Dre will serve the sacks that were taken from the Smokers locker room before the game; yes pun was intended.
