I guess a list needs to be created if it is not already in the works.

So No CEQ and No Boosting, is this correct?

It is just like Communism... it works so long as nobody realizes that taking more for less is an option.

16 farmers share a common field. All of them are alloted certain times for their animals to eat from the field.

1 Farmer sees that he has the chance to fatten up his animals before slaughter if he lets them stay in the field for a couple hours more a day or by letting them into the field twice a day.

The next farmer realizes that his animals will look sickly if he doesn't do the same thing.

Eventually every farmer has allowed their animal into the field twice their alloted time, and the field is bare.

Come slaughter, all of their animals are sickly and none of them earns enough to remain on their land. One rich farmer comes in and buys all of the land and all of their stock.

Because all of the land is controlled by one person, the animals all eat as much as they need and the rich farmer gets richer.

Then the governement comes along and takes half of what the rich farmer earned and gives it to the 16 other farmers.

The end.

I understand people are "sneaky", for this I suggest Gold league members to recruit agents who are "Able" to boost/buy CE for each player that they commit.

This way, if someone does decide to get "sneaky" you can just boost/CE in return, and we will just be sure to do our best to be sure that team never fields a roster again.

As far as agents who own their entire team, I'd like to know exactly who those people are, and we can just put there heads on the trust block, as... teams with multiple agents won't be any more capable of boosting on a whim than any other team they face.

Essentially, I don't think that anyone is going to just blatantly lie to try to get a Gold trophy, because honestly, where would that put them, besides the laughing stock of Pee-Wee.

I'm sure they could post it in the general GLB forum and get a good laugh... but those of us who care about this game will all know who the real champions were....

Unless it is backed up by GLB.... Which I don't see happening.... People will boost/CE.

Do you think that the 8th seed wouldn't try something like this to take out the 1 seed? The 7 seed take out the 2 seed?

I see this working for five or six games. Then some team is going to be in the basement and say, "we are going to lose out of the playoffs or even Gold unless we boost."

Bam. 16 farmers chain reaction happens and we are all exactly where we were. It will just come down to if the East or the West lasts longer.

But isn't it worth it to give it a try instead of be a pessimist about everything in life?

I think that it won't happen, because honestly, particularly if we make it all the way to the playoffs without seeing it, people would not only be shamed, they would already have begun to appreciate the new low-cost of the league.

I honestly don't see it being a problem, who is it you are accusing of likely sneaky boosting in the gold league?

I still really don't see this working out... Maybe just change it to no CE. I agree with TT. Teams that are in gold playing stiff competition every game they are going to say "O shit I better boost or else I will be out of the gold league." Then they will go and boost all their guys. Then there will be some teams out there that have 30-40 agents that have committed and told they wouldn't have to boost. I can see huge problems coming from this because agents may just not boost for the team that asks them to or agents over commit players to a team and have no way to buy CE or boost.

To add on to this.... There are lots of teams in gold now that could barley win a game without boosting. Ask all the teams that didn't make the playoffs. This will just help out those teams like SBWL and FG. I can't really see anyone ever beating either of them during the season without boosting (Now playoffs may be something different)

If you can't beat them without boosting you don't deserve to.

The boosting process is meant to advance you through the levels faster, it is not written as a method for giving you an advantage over other teams who haven't boosted, and shouldn't be treated as such, its NOT working as intended.

Again, who is it you guys are accusing of being dishonest, who personally do you not trust...

jkid has already posted that he will boost for the playoffs.... I am just worried about all the silver teams coming up and the gold teams who haven't committed.

To be quite honest I neither nor trust nor mistrust any individuals, but I would lay down 7-1 odds on $50.00 that it would happen. It isn't pesimistic, it is realistic.

The point is if EVERYONE commits, by saying you don't COMMIT because your SURE its going to fail, you are directly insulting those of us who have agreed....

No, I have already agreed that if you can get everyone in on this I will follow suit. However:

a) I suspect that you will not get 100% (FG has already said that they will boost for playoffs)
b) I suspect that someone who has commited will renegue on the agreement

Same with Who Dot for next season... We are for this idea if you can get ALL teams involved.
