It is too bad the other 10 teams in this conference suck, because the top 6 are all real good...

Short on time so just going to bang these out.

WEEK 12 RANKINGS

The Fine Four
#1 Kenya Diggits (12-0) - Vaca is over. Bandits up next followed by the Bulldawgs. Last chances to end the Diggits streak of perfection.

#2 Fulham Flying Hellfish (10-2) - HUGE win for the Hellfish shows how much they've improved since last season.

#3 Nile Crocodiles (10-2) - 2 weeks before schedule picks up again.

#4 West Yorkshire Bandits (9-3) - Loss could hurt their chances for a playoff berth.

The Muddled Middle
#5 Sterling Bulldawgs (10-2) - Vaca over. 3 straight weeks of hell coming up should show where Sterling belongs.

#6 Nairobi Death Squad (9-3) - They should coast through rest of season easily.

#7 Colonial Zoners (7-5) - 7th seed locked up now.

#9 Burundi Bucsh Warriors (5-7) - Young team ends up with 8th seed to finish up the season. Would take a miracle to get an upset in the first round though.

Outsiders Looking In
#9 Zimbabwe Bulls (6-6) - Blowout loss.

#10 West Nile Mosquitoes (4-8) - If they were to upset Burundi there is an off chance they can take the 8th seed.

Nowhere Close
#11 Alexandria Crimson Evil Aces (3-9) - Blowout loss.

#12 Longreach Wildcats (3-9) - Blowout loss.

#13 Lyon Flames (3-9)

#14 Algeria Dune Hoppers (1-11) - Blowout loss.

#15 Hungry Hungry Hippos (1-11)

#16 Patagonia Punishers (0-12) - Blowout loss.

WEEK 13 RANKINGS

The Fine Four
#1 Kenya Diggits (13-0) - Kenya had an impressive first half that put them up enough to coast to victory against the Bandits. Only one challenge left on their way to 16-0.

#2 Fulham Flying Hellfish (11-2) - Fulham with another strong win. With no more tough games they can rest easy with the #2 seed wrapped up.

#3 Nile Crocodiles (11-2) - Time to get back to business for the Crocs. First the Bandits play host and then the Crocs set off for Sterling.

#4 West Yorkshire Bandits (9-4) - Back to back losses for the first time this season jeopardizes a home playoff game for the Bandits.

The Muddled Middle
#5 Sterling Bulldawgs (10-3) - The Bulldawgs will need to show up a lot better the next 2 weeks if they hope to stay in contention for a home playoff game.

#6 Nairobi Death Squad (10-3) - Nairobi has a clear path to 13-3 record. The only thing standing in their way of a home playoff game is the Bulldawgs. If the Dawgs lose another game NDS should jump up to either the 3 or 4 seed.

#7 Colonial Zoners (7-6) - The Zoners are looking to finish 9-7 at this point.

#9 Burundi Bucsh Warriors (6-7) - Tough game this week guarantees the Warriors an 8-8 finish.

Outsiders Looking In
#9 Zimbabwe Bulls (7-6) - Still in it. For one more week at least.

#10 West Nile Mosquitoes (4-9) - Chance to pick up 2 more wins before seasons end should give West Nile something to build on next season.

Nowhere Close
#11 Alexandria Crimson Evil Aces (4-9)

#12 Longreach Wildcats (4-9)

#13 Lyon Flames (3-10)

#14 Algeria Dune Hoppers (1-12)

#15 Hungry Hungry Hippos (1-12)

#16 Patagonia Punishers (0-13)

Week 14 Lion Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK

Sterling vs Kenya
The Bulldawgs have faltered against top playoff teams this season losing 3 out of 4 games so far. This week they'll get a shot at derailing Kenya's perfect season. A loss today would really hurt their chances at a home playoff game as well with NDS & WYB breathing down their necks and having easier schedules. Kenya has proven to be a dominating force this season though and it will be a huge task for Sterling to take them down.

West Yorkshire vs Nile
Nile's only win against a top team came against Nairobi early on in the season. The next 2 weeks will go far in deciding where they fall in the seedings. Are they good enough for a top 4 finish or have they just been riding out a fairly easy schedule before they have to finish up against the Bandits & Bulldawgs? Last season the Bandits put a hurting on the Crocs and they'll look to recapture that magic before the playoffs begin. A win will guarantee them a 12-4 finish and most likely the 4th seed.

Zimbabwe vs Longreach
Colonial vs Hungry
Lyon vs Fulham
Patagonia vs Algeria
Burundi vs Nairobi
Alexandria vs West Nile

Week 14 Elephant Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK

TDP vs Flashdancing
The Platypi have been impressive this season but is that enough to knock off TDP. While they gave the Inferno a good game a few weeks ago they still came up short so they'll have to play a perfect game to get the upset win here.

Blacc's vs Inferno
The Bastards haven't put up much of a fight against top opponents and that won't change this week against the #2 seed.

Santa Ana vs Zimbabwe
The Rebels have been up and down all season. After a convincing win over the Platypi it seems they hit a plateau and have had problems against top teams. They've dropped 3 of their last 4 but even if they lose today they still have a playoff berth in the books already. I think they'll get it turned around though.

Dogs vs Barcelona
Barcelona has the talent but they just can't seem to compete against top teams. The Dogs should walk away with this one early.

Covington vs Montreal
MMM vs San Antonio
P-Funk vs Nigerian
Vereenging vs Toro

WEEK 14 RANKINGS

In the interest of time I've gone ahead and changed most record's to what they will be at end of season. Sad to say but there's little chance for many teams in the coming weeks to change their fate.

The Fine Four
#1 Kenya Diggits (16-0) - Kenya just notched themselves a perfect regular season with their last win. They also proved that they can win a game on any 1 of 3 fronts. This week they won it on the back of their superb returner, Short for a Stormtrooper, who chimed in with 3 TD returns to put away the Bulldawgs.

#2 Fulham Flying Hellfish (14-2) - Coasting to the finish line.

#3 Nile Crocodiles (11-3) - Narrow loss to the Bandits in a hell of a game. Nile tied it up with a FG to go into OT but then WYB comes up with a big stop on the first possession and goes on to kick the winning FG. With the Bulldawgs up next Nile can't afford another loss or they will lose a home playoff game.

#4 Nairobi Death Squad (13-3) - Nairobi has been on cruise control for weeks and will finish the season at 13-3. They've nothing to do but watch what happens with Nile & Sterling at this point to determine their seeding.

The Muddled Middle
#5 West Yorkshire Bandits (12-4) - WYB takes a huge victory against Nile in OT. It's just what they needed to muddy up the playoff picture even further. Now they can coast for the rest of the season.

#6 Sterling Bulldawgs (10-4) - The Bulldawgs are reeling after their special teams gave up 3 TDs in a loss. With Nile up next the Dawgs have little to no chance of a home playoff game. If they lose this week they'll most likely face Nile again in the first round too.

#7 Colonial Zoners (9-7) - Another easy week for the Zoners on tap before Fulham brings hell down on them.

#8 Burundi Bucsh Warriors (8-8) - The Warriors can coast from here on out. With an early exit out of the playoffs most likely they still have a lot to look forward to next season.

Outsiders Looking In
#9 Zimbabwe Bulls (8-8) - So close... yet so far away.

#10 West Nile Mosquitoes (6-10) - A lot of work ahead for the latest ownership of West Nile. Sounds like they've got the right ownership to work through the down times now though.

Nowhere Close
#11 Alexandria Crimson Evil Aces (5-11)

#12 Longreach Wildcats (4-12)

#13 Lyon Flames (3-13)

#14 Algeria Dune Hoppers (2-14)

#15 Hungry Hungry Hippos (1-15)

#16 Patagonia Punishers (0-16)

Only one more meaningful Lion game, but at least it's worth watching- it will affect 4 playoff spots.

Week 15 Lion Predictions
GOTW

Nile vs Sterling
There's only one game of importance this week in Lion but it has a lot riding on it for more than just the teams playing. If Nile loses they could fall to the 6th seed and have to face NDS in the 1st round. They narrowly beat them last time around so it's not a matchup they would be looking forward to. Nairobi would sure love a home playoff game though so they've got to be rooting for the Dawgs. If Nile comes away with the win though they would have to face the Dawgs once again in the first round. So this could very well be a preview of that game and I expect it to be a close on that sees Nile edging out a win in the 4th quarter.

Blowouts
Algeria vs WYB
Kenya vs Lyon
West Nile vs Patagonia
Hungry vs NDS
Longreach vs Colonial
Alexandria vs Burundi
Fulham vs Zimbabwe

Week 15 Elephant Predictions
GOTW

Flashdancing vs MMM
A good match-up between the 3 & 4 seeds this week. Should be a good game and I think MMM has the slight edge with a little more depth on defense. The Platypi have found ways to play top teams tough though so they could come out with the upset here. Not too much backlash in the standings with the outcome of this game either way.

Blacc's vs Santa Ana
Both teams have performed fairly similar all season long. Bastards have an edge in depth but the Swine's get the nod in levels. Can the young upstarts knock off the older vets? My guess is not yet and at this point a win for the Bastards won't do much to change the playoff picture.

Inferno vs Dogs
The Dogs should be in this one for a little while but in the end only one team has had Inferno's number all season.

Blowouts
Nigerian vs Zimbabwe
Barcelona vs Vereenging
Montreal vs P-Funk
San Antonio vs Covington
Toro vs TDP

WEEK 15 RANKINGS

The Fine Four
#1 Kenya Diggits (16-0) - Kenya puts Burundi back in line for the 8th seed by beating up on Zimbabwe in week 16. Question for Burundi is whether they think that's a good or bad thing since they'll face Kenya in the first round.

#2 Fulham Flying Hellfish (14-2) - Still coasting to the finish line. This weeks match-up will also be a preview of their first round game so the big question is how much Fulham will reveal of their game plan in a meaningless game.

#3 Nile Crocodiles (13-3) - With a decisive win over the Bulldawgs they've set up their first round playoff game. A rematch against the Bulldawgs.

#4 Nairobi Death Squad (13-3) - Now that the playoff picture is set NDS can get to focusing on their first round game against the dangerous Bandits.

The Muddled Middle
#5 West Yorkshire Bandits (12-4) - WYB must prepare to face Nairobi in the first round. Things didn't go so well in the regular season with Nairobi jumping out to a 20-0 half time lead so the Bandits will have to come up with some new wrinkles.

#6 Sterling Bulldawgs (11-5) - The Bulldawgs have struggled the last 3 weeks and get a bye to finish off the season. The big question is whether that extra week gives them enough time to come up with a new plan against Nile.

#7 Colonial Zoners (9-7) - Tough draw to finish up the season for the Zoners. They can't be looking forward to facing Fulham 2 weeks in a row.

#8 Burundi Bucsh Warriors (8-8) - Burundi will squeak into the playoffs with a win next week but with Kenya on tap for the playoffs an early exit is in their future.

Outsiders Looking In
#9 Zimbabwe Bulls (8-8) - Kenya will bounce them out of playoff contention this week.

#10 West Nile Mosquitoes (6-10) - It would be nice to see them end the season on a high note but the Bandits will steal any chance of that quickly.

Nowhere Close
#11 Alexandria Crimson Evil Aces (5-11)

#12 Longreach Wildcats (4-12)

#13 Lyon Flames (3-13)

#14 Algeria Dune Hoppers (2-14)

#15 Hungry Hungry Hippos (1-15)

#16 Patagonia Punishers (0-16)

LION PLAYOFF ROUND 1 PREDICTIONS
Kenya (16-0) vs Burundi (8-8)
Kenya is chasing perfection this season and there isn't much the Warriors will be able to do to stop them this week. The Warriors fell 184-3 when they played this season and there's no reason to believe it will be much closer this time around.

Nairobi (13-3) vs West Yorkshire (12-4)
Both teams have had their share of success and heart-breaking losses. When they faced off this season NDS got the better of the Bandits. The Bandits will have to play mistake free this time around and I think they can squeak out a close victory as they have a history of first round upsets.

Fulham (14-2) vs Colonial (9-7)
Fulham is hot right now after a dominating season. The Zoners are in the same boat as Burundi. Both are in the playoffs but neither will make much noise.

Nile (13-3) vs Sterling (11-5)
Nile is another hot team and I am very impressed with how they turned things around from last season. This is a week 16 rematch and there's no reason to think they can't replicate that success. The Bulldawgs will have to play a full 60 minutes if they want to get away with a win here, something they couldn't do last week.

ELEPHANT PLAYOFF ROUND 1 PREDICTIONS
TDP (16-0) vs Santa Ana (9-7)
TDP has felt this was their season since preseason kicked off and I'm hard pressed to argue with them. After running the table this season they'll pull an easy win in the 1st round. It seems D stands for destiny this season for the Prez.

MMM (13-3) vs Dogs (11-5)
In what could be one of the closest games this week MMM will face off against the Dogs. MMM took the regular season victory 22-9 but the Dogs seem to have turned it up a notch since then. I see the Dogs coming away with a close upset win.

Inferno (15-1) vs Zimbabwe (10-6)
It's easy to see that Inferno could have been 16-0 if TDP wasn't around. They've dominated just about every other team. The Rebels however were not one of those teams that laid down for them. The Rebels played a tough game that saw them lose the lead in the 4th Q and fall 20-13. This time around though I see the Inferno not taking them lightly and winning in dominating fashion but this one has all the looks of an upset.

Flashdancing (13-3) vs Covington (11-5)
Another week 16 rematch has the Platypi set to face off against the Knights. The Knights fell behind 20-7 before the 2nd half and could never catch up before losing 33-21. The question is whether or not both teams were playing at full strength or kept a few tricks in the bag in anticipation of a 1st round matchup. Covington will need to pull out some tricks to come away with a win this week.
