I'm not in it for a few seasons..almost quit but LE talked me off the ledge....just got tired of GM's knowing everything and failing on the field...I have a great DC as far as trusting him to run that side...don't always agree with some of the calls but he is always working hard at getting better and wants to win at dots as much as me..also I have gotten better as OC...understanding game planning better...I don't like losing but when you have better teams to play you get better..can't wait to get to gold

For sure, that is the double edged sword of the reshuffle option. To take it one step further, I also think demoted Gold teams should have the option of selecting the Silver league they will join. Making Gold is an accomplishment and perhaps a nice consolation prize of demotion would be to choose your new home...

If that's true, then I'd guess this would be what happens on top of the 8 auto bids:

8 silver runner's up
16-0 teams losing in 3rd rd of playoffs (3--Maine Grenadiers, Dunwich Demon Hunters, Starfleet Reshirts)

So if the current 10 number is correct, 2/3 of those teams would make it--I'm hoping it's the first two.

But given if even more gold teams fold (or more likely, some of the teams getting promoted either fold or decline the promotion), then I'd guess it would then go to the 15-1 teams who lost in the 3rd round of playoffs, ranked by points. If that's the case, just glancing (not actually counting), it looks like Maniala Marauders, Boston GoatWarriors, Final Thought have scored a ton of points.

I'm hoping it doesn't get that far...talk about a decline in gold next season.

Going by points scored is whack, but I guess that's the way it's done for the remaining spots.

ACS was given the opportunity to decline our Gold invite, but I decided to stick with the initial Gold invite. I figured that was the point of competing, to get to Gold and see how we can measure up.

I don't think Silver Champions have the decline option tho.

*******Season 14 Crabs will not be competitive.
