it wasn't even accurate (overtime losses are hardly being tossed around). I should have gone with SI.

OK I feels better now....

That passing game is something else, no doubt about it.

Yep...if there was any doubt (and I think there was)...the passing game is not broken is season 13, and a bunch of high speed WRs just proved the shit out it (all those guys appear to move at 35+)

1 team doesn't prove its not underpowered tbh.

To turn that around...given how good it appears that the passing game can be right now, do you think it's a good idea to pump it up? You guys have a vicious secondary and you looked pretty helpless on third and medium/long....

I think the rest of GLB needs to get our shit together, personally (including me, obviously).

The passing yardage was insane but they did only complete around 50% of their passes as well. Plus I noticed as the game went on our passing D got much better, it was early on when they were ripping us apart and not some much later on, for some reason.

The rest of GLB does need to get their shit together, but it still doesn't change the fact that passing is underpowered imo. One team is an exception, not the rule. I also do not think you necessarily pump up passing(although what I think should be done would do that in a way). I think you make zone more realistic, by making QB's make better reads against them or weakening ZS..Zone is overpowered imo.

QBs making better reads would be great.

A QB should anticipate a WR coming open, rather than waiting for them to cross the open space and hitting them as they head back into coverage.

Hard to argue against that.

Yes, that would help the passing game a lot. But then again, that would be a buff to the passing game now wouldn't it? And I thought you were against that

Not every buff just increases the passing game completely though, as that would not help Valhalla's passing game much as all, as 90% of what they do is just run streaks/Post's..which if you are being defended by a C2 shell the timing of the throw likely wouldn't matter much.

Or you could allow WR vision to account for a dead spot in the zone. WR's are running a route to get open ... once they are open, they should be intelligent enough to sit down -- rather than continuing to run into a congested area.

QB decision-making is a problem too ... don't get me wrong.

I can throw out some excuses for those games... Against Hali one we didn't game plan and had our CBs playing 1v1 coverage on aggressive with no safeties, and the hounds game I had a nice offense ready but hit update too late on the AI and we used a bad game plan. But really, I've been pretty surprised at how much we've improved myself.

There are a lot of causes...
-longish focus cap builds rounding out with SAs etc.
-me figuring out and switching up a number of builds
-switch to mostly zone
-a lot of AEQ switches (we are over 100 mil from affording all level 64 upgrades)
-the sim changes were good to us
-we took full advantage of the VA resets and totally switch up some VA builds
-Hali forum access

Mostly though, people don't realize how big a difference one season of growth makes. Season 1 players retiring and season 2 players getting old while we round out builds and VAs and get lvl 64 EQ... I don't think it's tough to imagine that being worth 60 points of improvement against certain teams.

Edit: I'm slow and didn't see Taut's post before writing this out.
