Not all teachers. I've actually known a few teachers (I went to a pretty good school [my parents planned on it when buying a house]) who were very capable and knowledgeable, but they found the academic world more appealing than the practical world. I'm the polar opposite, but it was really cool to have those kinds of teachers. Dudes that really know what they're talkin about can really just stimulate your brain (for lack of a better and less innuendo-inducing phrase)

Those people were usually coaches in my experience

Yep the coaches....Who game plan during class and hand out busy work....You have no clue.

Don't stereotype...

I know several coaches at all levels of academia that were and are excellent and fine teachers.

Very true, and I know a lot of teachers who don't coach that are very good also.

Haha, well it's good that you know some good teachers. One of the tactics in business is to surround yourself with the people you hope to become. So one day, you'll become a good teacher. Good luck to you.

well aren't you bitter...

Nah the Coaches I had were actually engaging and were able to make stuff fun. Unlike some of the others who were too uptight to be able to relate to the students
