Since I'll be going to a CPL team, I guess I should start mocking APL etc teams.

"You lowlifes are lucky the WPL takes 4 from every league, otherwise you'd have no entrants"

Edit[response to randey]

traitor imo.

Shame too, you were beginning to become tolerable on these forums too.

That would be my cue then.

This won't be easy I'm sure...

Screw the foreigners over imo. USAPRO is where its all at anyways.

(subtle joke there)

Also, I volunteer to draft for sactown, but in doing so will hold exclusive rights to anyone on either team that i draft, thus allowing me to trade anyone from one team to another as i see fit.

Oh yah, P.S. Good luck in the weddings steve and vegas. Also, Pink tuxes is where its at.

How much fantasy football and drafting experience do you have? Theres a reason i didnt ask Steve to just draft for me!....

j/k

Hahaha... believe me... my confidence is down from last season. I usually have players to target by now and I still don't have any true hidden gems on my list.

Oh, I've already gotten the run down.

I have two yahoo accounts all running ff leagues. I commished two last year, won one of them, played in two others finished top 5 always... I had a dream team, it was a thing of beauty.

QB: Peyton Manning / Jay Cutler
HB: L.T., A.P (Don't ask how i got both rofl), steve slaton (drafted him and boy was i pleased!), brandon jacobs
WR: Greg Jennings, andre johnson, randy moss, eddie royal (another big time rookie).
TE: Jason Witten, Tony Scheffler
K: Steven Ghostkowski
DEF: Pitt / Giants

Won by a landslide...

I call bullshit.

You have top players at every position.

QB: top 1 or 2
HB: top 1, 2 top 15s, one top 20
WR: 3 top 10s, 1 top 32
TE: 2 top 10s
K: top 5
DEF: 2 top 7s, inc #1 overall

Either you played in a 2 man league, or you played with a league that wanted you to win.

6 man league, had second pick in draft. First pick was LJ, stupid chiefs fan. True story really.

randey shall not tell a lie!

I'm in a few leagues and have been mock drafting myself... I can't get a good feel for any of my money league positions.
Too many wild cards...

Yah, just because they finished top 1, 2 or wherever, doesn't mean thats what everyone had expected for them.

Greg Jennings was taken pretty late, Brady was the first QB to go, LJ went first RB, i accepted a trade that sent me LT (production started off slow, and owner wanted to bail on him - i got him cheap) Balt was the first selected def, philly #2... ect...

All of them are pretty obvious bluechippers though.

Steelers/Giants defense... easy (Giants coming off one of the best DLine performances in playoff history)

Gostowski just played w/the highest scoring offense ever

Moss just had 22 TDs...as a WR

Manning is Manning, and I think a lot of people expected Cutler to finish top 10 in terms of passing yards.

Anyone who knows anything about football knows Jennings is the most underrated WR (although Andre Johnson may have been coming into '08...you got both) in the NFL.

Witten is Witten.

I guess Royal was a bit of a sleeper. Where I did much of my fantasy legwork, I knew Eddie Royal personally (to a degree), so I really hyped him up, and he was taken in a lot of our drafts (and in the leagues where he wasn't, he was scooped up after week 1).

Who selects Baltimore's defense after a 5-11 campaign that saw one of the most injured defenses in recent memory? Damn dude, if those guys ever play for money, let me in. I'll give you half.

Edit: Johnson/Moss are the top 2 WRs in the league (inb4 Fitzgerald hype... he had 3 great games and 2 great catches in the Superbowl... if Moss/Johnson or even Smith lined up across from Q, everyone would talk about how great they are... Fitz is top 5 but not top 3), and probably were coming into '08.

Sounds good soap! Most generic yahoo users are like that, its pathetic really. I rarely bothered to set my roster, i cakewalked through the season. The draft almost made me pee my pants, i knew what i was getting! lol

Just sickens me to realize that these are the same people who vote for the pro bowl... and it's why Favre gets in, but Pennington and Rivers have to watch from home (the most notable indiscretion from this year's pro bowl)

Done... added.
(PS - I technically won't be APL next season either... I might have to put a player on a team to make me legit. )
