My thoughts exactly. bhall.

To be honest, I think I summed up my feelings on the LVG vs. MEM debate in my comments. No one was a clear #1 because no one won a major tourney AND a league Championship. Big fan of hazy and he knows that. Also a big fan of Stobie and his team. The bottom line is MEM had a tremendous body of work. They won the PWT, Badgers, finished runners-up in USA, and finished 3rd in Hazy's. LVG is a great team as is WSI, Drinkin, and Wolfpack. All 5 of those teams have some argument for the best team in GLB in my mind. But in the end, I just think MEM did more in total. LVG got them in the Championship and I'm sure hazy is fine being #2 in our poll while getting the most #1 votes and winning the USA Gold.

At least the PWT championship game was closer than the NCAA one so far, ugh.

eh, I think you guys put the Wolfpack in a good place. If we had managed to beat MEM once this season I could argue for higher, but the Pack are where they belong - 3rd/4th.

But its all cool .. just seems really funny that a team got beat pretty soundly by the 14th and 20th ranked teams and is ranked 9th. I know that my game versus them was in the PWT so there is no excuse that they were not taking it seriously.

I respect MEM, well most of them, everyone except Gart, but there is no way a team should be ranked #1 if they didn't win their league. Just my opinion I guess.

FWIW, we only ran strong I on you because I didnt care to change the OAI.

The option that applied to the Pack until day 34 was definitely #2, except take out the Strong I part
Prob still will next season, too - perhaps to a lesser degree.

Dont care why .. only care that is what happened.

BTW Im not sure if it would have made much of a difference either way, its pretty clear that the Wolfpack was a really good team this season, but I figure it might have been closer.

Im 100% willing to give a team props for being good.

But Im also 100% for the anti-cheese engine.

Re: Waxers

03/21/2009 Cincinnati Shockers L 6-39
03/23/2009 at Prague Punishers L 6-33
03/27/2009 West Scranton Invaders L 28-38

Umm okay .. so my team gets a penalty for melting down against some USAPL team at the end of the season, but this team is then better than my crappy team?

Its cool, hey if a win over the Benitos carrys that much weight, I still believe the Benitos are the best team in GLB anyhow just curious why my team gets a penalty for losing to teams above us but this team doesnt get a penalty for losing to teams ranked behind them.

lol, we rushed one time against Prague, we had bigger fish to fry 3 days later.

How are teams going to knock the Waxers and give MEM an ounce of respect? Csonka ran the ball just as much in the playoffs and even more in the regular season/scrims.

Well they did win their league, which is what I took into account first and foremost.

Nuge20 - Lost a really tough SEAPL final
Sik Wit It - Heartbreaking 1 point loss keeps them from the gold in SEA Pro.
nthomas - Close loss in the championship game cost them a few spots.

Thanks for the #25 spot guys. Fing KR missed a 40 yard FG with 1 min left in the championship. Ugh Anyway great work its appreciated.

Ummm, are you purposely ignoring the fact that they got to the conference championship by using basic AI against the team that knocked them out of CPL playoffs in seasons 6 and 7, and that also beat them in the season 8 regular season match up?

Also, it's clear that basic AI reverses trends. We beat you, Marblehead beat us.

MEM doesn't deserve to be #1 but that's beside the point. We'll prove our worth next season. Good thing S8 is over.
