I dont see the Smack in my post to Cherie, I defended my guy and the same position you defended.

So, I petition Capon, LJ and PAC to take a vote (since the three of you have voiced an opinion on my posts), if you want me to leave the board all it will take is a 2 to 1 vote. And I promise I will never return. I have a very busy life, no hard feelings I thought I was adding to the fun / revelries...maybe not.

Have a great day all!

I didn't say I didn't want you posting, just to use less ego when doing so for your entire team

I'll vote nay on leaving

Confidence before + it happening, does not = Ego.

What I have done, is say before a game, that I think the SGA will win, and gone on and done just that.
I have said when involved in game smack, we will kick the crap out of a certain team (in good humor) that may be running it at me (the worst). But come on man, you of all people need to relax, your whole, SGA is 10x worse than I am game… you should be embarrassed. Too funny.

I have never hurtfully slandered another team. Feel free to dig up a post where I was outside the norm as pre game talk goes. I am serious, I just searched RAIDER5326 in the forum search, I found nothing to support your claim, if you are referring to Pooperdog… that matter is behind us by about 2 weeks.
If your saying No member of SGA can hope or predict a win, or take part in a little pre game banter…LOL whatever man,
So get over it, get used to it or ask me to leave

P.S. I’ll try and remember that nobody ever roots for Goliath. said with humor (for Capon)

It's kind of funny, actually. We have a few of our guys coming out and saying we're going to win and for the most part we have proven that we can do just that. The last team to feel confident that they were going to win, the Windy City Bears, came out, had a guy guarantee a win, and then we promptly stomped them. I'd feel better about our win over the Salukis if it had been earlier in the season, but I don't have any control over the schedule so we just have to go out and play whoever's in front of us. Right now, that's the Cajuns.

The Cajuns are a tough team. I feel confident in our gameplan enough to say that it's going to be a really good game from both ends of the field. I also feel confident enough in our guys to do what the coaches ask to say that we're going to win. Cajuns can come out and spout off numbers, like only allowing 1 TD all year, or their #1 pass defense. I can come right back and show our defense leading the league in sacks and hurries by a fairly large margin. We're also up there in interceptions. And we have the best punt returner in the league. Stats mean nothing. It's all about confidence.

I'm confident we'll win. I guarantee nothing except a game that you're going to want to watch so I advise everyone to bookmark raider's page and click on the watch button as soon as 6am PST rolls around tomorrow. You will not be disappointed.

And Cherrie, my name is not on the GMs list but like every member of SGA, my input is asked for and I freely do so at my own will. I have enough of a knowledge of this game to understand how to give my input but I have little say over the gameplan itself. I contend that you can't intentionally run up the score, no matter what your settings, because eventually the sim does skew things to running out the clock. At that point, running up the score is only possible if your running game is jessu against a terrible run defense. It can happen, it does happen, but it's not intentional.

Oh by the way thats MOON, he's one of our trusted generals that the SGA has on its list of strong leaders. Whatever happens to win this game its only one step toward the play-offs. Sure its a big step, but who knows we might meet again.
Until the actual game we will continue to be cocky, until humbled.

For every Goliath, there is a David waiting to cut your head off with your own sword...and in this setting...I think I'm as close as we can get

Im not sure we are the Goliath? I mean sure we are bad asses, but until we knock off the top dog, we are just another contender chewing at the bit. But if it works out , i would luv to squish those lil cheetahs!!!

I'm sorry there are people making STUPID posts here (Moontayle), LOL.

I mean, saying you can't run up the score on a weak team is the dumbest thing I've EVER heard... and I've heard some dumb things.

Ok, cool it with the insults. Am I or have I ever insulted you? No? Then I expect the same in return. It's called, 'Common Courtesy'.

That said, all I've said, and this is something Bort has stated a few times himself, is that even if you have Auto-Adjust off, regardless of your gameplan, at some point the sim adjusts things to start running out the clock. That's all. With that in mind, you can't gameplan to run up the score because the game won't let you. Once the sim auto-adjusts, the only way you continue scoring is if the team you're up against really, really sucks. You know, like the Ducks.

So in the end, your team either sucks or it doesn't. If it doesn't, the game is close. If it does, you get blown out, no matter who plays you, regardless of how they gameplan.

LOL... that's really true. Before our game against the Regulators, we specifically discussed how we could best keep the score from getting out of hand. Quite honestly, I would hate to log in game after game and see incredible blowout losses. These teams are TRYING to get a team together, build teamwork and camraderie, and have a good time. But that could really wear on a team. I don't know what other teams did, but we TRIED not to lay into them too bad by focusing on the inside running game and using our backups a LOT.

A note to Lowell and Albuquerque (since those are the two I'm familiar with in our division): Keep up the great work. You guys are putting together solid teams and it takes some time, but you'll get to where you will be competitive in no time. One thing you should really work on while building up your team is tactics. Once you are competitive, they will make a BIG difference.
