You weren't lying about our DB's. I just went back to review the 2'nd half and we held your offense to 25 total yards of offense, and your QB was 1 of 16 for 9.5 yards.


It just blows my mind how an offense can put up 27 points, over 200 yards, and a QB can go 10/16 in the first half and then get shutout, tally only 25 yards, and complete only 1 of 16 pass attempts in the next half. Wow. I have no explanation for that. Just wow.

Well, we did have the # 1 pass D in Oceania Pro last season

Where were they in the first half?

As a whole, yes. But we are talking about your pass defense going from sub par in the first half to lights out in the second half. I don't buy into "we did have the # 1 pass D" theory when we are breaking it down. If it was because you had a dominant pass defense, we would not have put up 27 in the first two quarters.

When I saw our receivers breaking open on every play at the beginning of the game, I was thinking that I wish we had gone more pass heavy. To go from that extreme in the first half to my thought of "Oh, God! We are passing! Not again!" in the second half is what has me baffled.

To go from a 71% completion percentage in the first half to a 6% completion percentage in the second half tells me that something (or multiple somethings) kicked in and caused it to happen. I am just curious what exactly that something(s) is that would cause such a dramatic difference. I could understand a minor drop in performance due to SAs, VAs, and confidence, but a major drop in production like that strikes me as odd. Elite pass defense or not, there is no denying that the first and second half were night and day when compared to one another and very likely the result of something more than an elite pass defense.

GG WILDDOGS- you guys made it interesting in the second half.

Most likely their AI settings, lukin. They probably have two different half settings to cover all bases ( Just guessing ).
