OK just added a new SV text based on my understanding and Bort's explanation:

This ability is widely considered the most valuable Special Ability for a CB/SS/FS who plays a lot of pass coverage. It is not a flat bonus to vision. It only applies in specific situations, and gives a bigger bonus than a couple points of vision ever would. It is also sometimes used as an "insurance policy" for when you fail your vision check. With Super Vision, you sometimes get second chance to succeed, with a reroll based on how much Super Vision you have. Adding more of this ability increases the success rate or your reroll each time this ability activates. This ability only activates on defense, NOT special teams or offense.
