i actually just re-read it for the 7th time or so this past month, and i bought 3 people copies for xmas


it has such high re-read value, i'm always finding new shit in the frames i never noticed before. i love love love how seamlessly he integrated the pirate story text bubbles so they simultaneously comment on the "real world" action in the frame. its so good.

I did read that they are not going to have the pirate story in the movie at all. Personally I am not to upset about that. But I do agree with how well it is intergrated with the real life storyline.

Watchmen, it's a graphic novel. It's actually on the 'top 500 novels of all time' list, the only graphic novel to be on it. The movie was finally made, to be released in march, but theres a lawsuit concerning production rights that might delay it.

I did read that they are not going to have the pirate story in the movie at all. Personally I am not to upset about that. But I do agree with how well it is intergrated with the real life storyline.

yea it absolutely wouldnt fit into a movie, so its a smart choice. supposedly theyre making it as a stand alone bonus feature for the dvd though which is cool.

that would be cool! I can't wait for it to come out....there is such a dead period right now in the theaters. Next Friday is the Prequel to Underworld, Rise of the Lycans....sad there is no Kate Beckinsale, but still I'm excited about it

I saw the previews for Watchmen, looks pretty cool IMO but I haven't read the graphic novel.

Dude, I am sooooo there next Friday. The big 30 is on Jan. 25 so on Friday we are eating some Sushi and then going to watch Rise of the Lycans! Can't wait!!!!
