Would that be recruiting?

No, it would be excellent management and a great idea.

What 3 people worked together to make the move?? The old owner of the OOTP Ballers quit on the team. Period, out of the blue and basically allowed us to go anywhere he wanted. He released my 1 player and accepted trades and released others who were interested in such a thing. Chris brought his players to his own team on his own will. As did anyone else (Romy and did anyone else even come over? higgens 1 player?). No one made them come here. They all choose here because they knew Chris from this website or another.

That is all I am saying.

I only see what Vols observed: a few agents moved players from one team to another, together. I understand what you're saying completely, and that final paragraph says it all.

Still, gotta root for the underdogs

Why would that be excellent management? So I could come down here and go undefeated and get promoted to Canada AA? No it would be stupid management, because I am already in a AAA league hoping to win the title this year with those 9-10 players and move on to Africa Pro....

LOL. Oh man it gets even better as I look at the trade even more.....

Coachy Jones WR - Owned by Chris Conn

http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=716

Traded from Yellowknife for almost 600k in the offseason (to add to stadium?), contract probably expired or was released from San Fran, because here is season 5 for Coachy Jones....

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?season=5&player_id=644518

and here is season 6 for Coachy Jones

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?season=6&player_id=644518

Its interesting too.....there are 3 teams involved and Blood you are a involved with all 3.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=716
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=3480
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1187

Nice way to move cash there...absolute without a doubt COLLUSION.

Summed up Coachy Jones traded to San Fran (Bloods team) from Yellowknife (Chris's team) Nov 3rd...for 580k....did not play one snap for San Fran....was released or contract expired at end of Season 5.....signed with New Jersey (Ilsons team). All three teams are affiliated with Blood and Chris. What did San Fran gain out of the trade? Nothing. They gave the Yellowknifes 580k (presumably to add to the stadium in the offseason - look at their stadium)....then the player was signed by New Jersey of the 'network' for free market value.

Other than my own players, it was two people and three players one of which I had to wait a few weeks for and buy from the team he got sold to. One of my own players was dealt away to Africa wich turned out to be a great team and I have re-upped with them once. Prior to that blowup, we had a combination of the level one players that we had started with and a bunch of players that I had worked had to recruit that off season. We thought an 8-8 season would be doable and would lead to the playoffs in season 6. After my players (and the 3 others that came) were suddenly free, our plans moved up a season. We recruited a few more level 30ish players through FA toward the end of the season and then signed more players in the off season that were available from people that we knew along with a few more of mine and one other from the Fire that were deemed not good enough to move with the team to USA Pro.

The OOTP breakup wasn't anything close to collution - or even gutting for that matter. As much as I was dissapointed in the owner for blowing us up, he did about the best job of exiting as an owner that we will ever see. Yes, he released and traded away the entire team over about a one-week period. But, he brought in reasonably leveled new players and left the team with a full roster, a completely maxed out stadium and just over 100million in the bank. Who ever got that 'gut job' was one of the luckiest bastards in the new team lottery!

As for the trade that Vols keeps bringing up, I'll say the same thing I said way back yonder - it did not break any rules. You think otherwise and reported it and I'll talk to support if they come calling. What more do you want? Meet in the back ally?

There are players all over this and other A leagues that come from leagues above them, owners who get thier players freed up, et cetera. I bought this team long before our little breakup and having them play here never even crossed my mind until the day it all happened. There are lots of similar stories around, even in this league. I hope none of them have some enraged gasbag pull a stunt like this on them (entertaining though this has been).

I still fail to see the ethical difference between bringing level 20ish players here in season 2/3 that were to 30ish in season 4 and bringing 30ish guys here in season 4. This guy started saying that we brought a whole team from WE Pro THIS SEASON and then when that wasn't true moved to this thread claiming that we coluded and gutted a Canadian AAA team and I bought this team to stack it and then and then and then. Now he has a trade he doesn't like. Find another windmill dude.

0-3 and none of them close! Last year we had you beat coming and going on levels and you still thrashed us.

No, your players are, your team isn't. They are separate, by bringing them together you increase your chances of your team winning, as a manager, that is the goal, no?

As an agent, you want players to win. My players take minutes to manage, my team takes days... I know which efforts I would sooner see rewarded.

So what do you do if you actively GM OC/DC 2 AAA Africa teams and Own a Canada A team?

You punk your OC/DC duties and your owner and move them to Canada A to beat up on teams promoted from a capped BBB league?

I'm sorry thats your reward.

Just to clarify, it doesn't matter what shape the former owner left the team in. It will remain CPU until season's end, then be relegated to BBB, reset, and assigned a new owner. Which is why I said the term "gutting" is nearly archaic.

And again, just to clarify, because BRC already explained the situation, I never implied there was collusion about the breakup of the team. What I meant was that it is perceivable to believe that once the team was sold that players could have formed a plan to join the same team. Which the Mules have consistently insisted did not happen, instead that they each moved independently.

Still, I hate the Patriots,
and Yankees,
and Duke.

When Port Moody revamped their roster for season 4 they got flak for it even though it was done through solid recruiting and Elway's prestige throughout his network. Naturally, I rooted against PMM.

In our inaugural game, Puvirnituq played against the now named Quebec Quasars, and since have maintained an impressive percent of the roster. Check out those individual stats the team rosters are almost identical from game 1 to game yesterday, against the same team.

But they didn't move independently....CONN moved 7 or 8 of his own players from higher Canada AAA to Canada A.
