Oh I see how it is. My 999.5 punt return yards and 6 touchdowns aren't enough to impress someone like SCACE!

I'll just have to take pleasure in the fact that I was basically beating up on special short bus children and it was awesome.

Are you factoring strength of opponent into the considerations for this or is it just raw stats? Because my WR had more pancakes than the O Line winner this week (lol). We were playing a rebuilding team though, so it's probably best to give it to the people who had the toughest matchups and still made the biggest difference in the game for their position.

Oh yeah, when considering punters, maybe also count how many punts were inside the 20.

Scace, I think it's really cool that you do these selections

I could probably do that easily enough -- will consider it for future games.

Nice job Scace....thanks for giving us something else to look forward to.

There will always be people disagreeing, but in the end...this is your thread/opinion and everyone should just enjoy the read, whether they agree with it or not.

I appreciate the work.

If people disagree with your selections, there is always the button down at the bottom that says "new thread topic" where they can make their own

Nice job

One thing I'm going to change -- I will not be selecting an individual on the o-line.

I will be selecting them as a group.

Will be looking at sacks/hurries allowed, tackles for loss, team rushing yardage per carry, team passing yardage per attempt and yes, of course, those lovely pancakes

Instead of all passing yardage per attempt how about something more specific like attempts. I say this because yardage depends on a QB's accuracy and a receivers ability to actually catch the damn ball and it also includes how far they ran after catching the ball.

So... my suggestion instead is to just include the number of attempts. Each time the QB gets the ball out of their hands and into the air you can call it a success for the O-Line as they protected long enough for the QB to deliver.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. Passing yardage has to many variables for the Oline that are either not their fault, or not to their credit (yards after catch for example).

But just including passing attempts, a team could run a short passing game and get the ball out quickly -- doesn't have anything to do (or very little to do) with the o-line and everything to do with the gameplan.

YPA, while not perfect b/c it counts YAC, still gives you a better idea of how long the QB stayed on his feet. TBH, sacks & hurries allowed by the line will weigh in more than anything else, esp. if the yardage thrown for is high.

Yeah I see your point, you could weight the short attempts, medium attempts, and long attempts differently though, giving more weight to the long attempts and so forth. Not being critical here, just trying to help out the formula stuff.

I know, i just don't have time to watch every single game

Trying to do this while still leaving time to actually prepare, which is taking an insane amount of time this season
