Avatar bet is only open before the season begins. I run a simple book: you can't bet on the race once it's started.
Not really my thing tbh, but there were some folks who sounded so completely convinced of their own supremacy that it seemed fair to see just how confident they were in those sky-high claims. Apparently it was just empty chest-beating.
I'd love to see APL come closer to the atmosphere of other leagues I'm in: where the teams express more mutual respect than disdain in the forums. I think we're actually quite close with so many quality arrivals coming in each offseason.

I have a better idea...Move the Borg to the other great leagues you like....I like the APL forum boards the way they are. I bet the atmosphere in your other leagues would be different, if the same team won it every year of that leagues existance....But since the Borg is the only Pro team ever to do that you can't prove me wrong.
