Just because the game allows farm teams doesn't mean it has to cater to them, nor guarantee them an equal footing with teams that are...you know...actually trying to win something.

Second... I'm not being punished at all... so it's not everyone. My team has been around since season 9. Many of the players who were on that season 9 team are still there and will be in S15. We haven't had a farm team to fill roster holes with. We did it the old fashion way... by rolling up our sleeves and getting busy recruiting as best as we can. Are we the best team in our league? Not by a long shot. Are we in the top half... probably. Will we gut and drop down? Never.

Those who have been playing by the rules aren't getting punished. Those who have worked hard to get where they are (without farm teams, gutting or cash games) aren't getting punished because they want to stay where they are.

Third... I still don't have any of your cash. But if you lend me some, we can say I do and then I'll give it back to you.

so your against farm systems? Farm systems actually IMO keep more agents active in the game longer and keep money pumping into GLB machine... we have a great group of agents and a great system which create a new team of lvl 1 dots every season...... to me that shouldnt be frowned on.....

as far as workng hard... try coordinating an 8 team alliance, keeping all happy and teams full of new and old agents... more work then a single team for sure!

So with that being said , where is the NEW MONEY going to come from that will/would be needed to keep the game alive ? I've said in this thread this is a good thing but unless it includes the whole game it's just another band aide fix that WILL have to be fixed again a few seasons down the line unless it includes eveyone.

im sure if there was an alarming need for new money at this second...they would have probably seen it.

I gamble and have sold products before and tbqf , i wouldn't bet on that. My guess is this , they see what they have in the bank and probably have worked out how much they can spend and just when they need to , add something NEW to the game to give it a fresh feel and entice the newer player to build a few more dots , throw in a timely sale and wa la you have extended your finances until needed again.

Just my speculation , no facts involved.

My suggestion is to totally separate the cash link from Team --> Player in it's entirety. End of story/discussion/rules/etc. All teams are now equal on the dot ball field. It should be about dots, not how much money you have from gaming the system or how big your farm system is or how long you've hoarded cash to buy eq.

Team's have the current in game $$ to buy team related stuff with. All of that stuff doesn't effect a dot on the field in any way shape or form. That money can be used to buy things for the team that make it easier to run a team or make your team look cooler in game. IE Bling. Idea Example: Team cash can upgrade your locker room. With a certain upgrade you can now elect a team captain to be shown on your homepage, etc. Maybe another purchase gives the team owner/gm's the ability to give out game balls to players that show up on your awards pages. Things like that. Field graphics, custom dot color, whatever GLB minds can think of. Incorporate some of the suggestions forum.

Players have their currency (time, tokens, etc) Anything that effects the sim that can be purchased needs to use the players currency not some arbitrary cash number given as a salary. IE player controlled.

Contracts are Length Only no Money
All Players have 0 Cash - It doesn't exist to them anymore. Reset all to Zero. Cash is team only.
All teams can keep there current stadium/cash. They can use it to buy the new team oriented things that make being part of that team or owning that team easier/cooler.



A rework like this is really the only way to let everyone keep everything they've earned and clean up the $ exploit all at the same time without to many rules.

misconception... our farm team is very competitive and always looking to win.... our current farm team records are 8-0, 7-2, 7-1. and 5-3.... and have always been run to be competitive.....

Ok a question I don't think was answered yet...

Originally if teams wanted to demote down to lvl 4, they had to give up their team for a new one. This new rule essentially makes that no longer applicable. So... if a team chooses to demote, can they keep their team but the stadium/cash obviously gets reset.

Yup, Fame should drive what a player can "unlock".

Who cares what happened to old users? Yea, i miss the RJs of the world too but it's not always as cut and dry as ragequitting because bort doesn't allow them to start a brand new team with $100mil while everyone else has to start with $1mil or whatever it is. If that's the reason these people quit, then i'm glad. Most of the big users quit because GLB was getting to be too big a time and money suck and real life is much more important than e-glory. I commend them for keeping things in perspective. If those owners just got really angry and quit because the sim changed or something, then they're childish and GLB is better without them

The number is growing every day. Everytime they roll out these type of changes they create more non-boosters and more people playing out their flex bank... Each time they change the game on a whim without thinking it threw more and more people simply stop buying flex.

I cannot count the number of guys who simply quit boosting and tell me they are no longer spending money on this game. The majority of them never post anything in these type of discussions. They just simply stop paying to play. The reality is that GLB is supported by the top 10% of users. The rest simply do not care enough to pay for the flawed sim.
