ASU doesn't attempt a ton of field goals, but that's by design. This early in a kicker's career, your accuracy tapers off more dramatically when attempting longer field goals. We've only attempted 2 40-49 FGs this season and 0 from 50+, but looking at your K on HAHA, who's pretty damn solid inside 30 yards (11/13), it looks like we're almost better off having punted in 40+ yard FG attempt situations. Our K is 12/17 inside 40. Yours is 17/26. That's all it is, really. Build up your accuracy & consistency early, and when you have those maxed out, pump power to increase your accurate range. nbd

Seems like it doesn't really help till you get your accuracy/consistency high enough, otherwise RNG is still too big of a factor. For that you need more SP to get there, so around the JMan level.

I don't see the purpose of punting to save a few yards of field position just so the kicker can have a nicer looking FG% in earlier tiers. That is unless you can control how often Punters go for coffin corner stuff, or possibly some kind of bounce backwards thing. As far as I know going for a coffin corner is random. So I'd rather just have a chance at 3 points, even if that chance is 40%. I'm fine sacrificing 4 or 5 extra yards.

Ya punting is so completely random there is no point in punting under 40 yards. i actually rarely see punts inside the 10. If that was more reliable it would make more sense.

Think we have more top 10 matchups this week than any other week so far in this tier. Should be some good games to watch.

#1 HAHA vs. #10 Fire Breathing Sharks

Definitely interested in watching this game. Sharks have one of the better passing offenses in the tier relying heavily on their TE for production while HAHA has the best defense currently in the tier. HAHAs offense has struggled at times but their defense has been good enough to will them into some wins. The one thing that will decide this game is if the Sharks can find a way to limit the impact of Guided Missile. If they can then they stand a decent chance of winning, If they can't they'd have to hope for one hell of a game by their defense to win this one. HAHA wins 24-10.

#2 PORN vs. #8 ASU

Interesting matchup here. PORN hasn't played many all run teams so far this season and now they get a shot at the best all run team currently in tier. ASU has some impressive wins on their resume including Ashland (who has taken quite a tumble lately). Will be interesting to see if PORN can limit ASU on explosive run plays and how ASU plans to try to limit PORNs explosiveness on offense. HAHA game aside PORN has been pretty much unstoppable on offense so far this season. If ASU can kill a lot of clock and keep PORNs offense off the field then they have a shot. PORN wins 38-10.

#3 Salty Runback vs. #4 No Name

Game of the week. Salty has been on a role lately and they have a good matchup with No Name. Wonder if No Name can handle Salty's 2 man under defense. Also wonder if this is going to be a high scoring game or not. My gut tells me this one will be low scoring as Salty generally doesn't do well in shootouts and more often than not are involved in close, low scoring games. If No Name can move the ball with consistency I think they'll win but at least today I think Salty's defense will carry them through. Salty wins 20-13.

#5 Bloody Slaughterhouse vs. #6 Ashland Dockers

This should be interesting. The 2nd and 3rd best passing offenses in the tier square off in what most likely promises to be a shootout. Bloody had struggled in games against good teams and got blown out by ASU but good thing for them they're not playing a run team this time. Ashland on the other hand has gone from #1 to #6 in a relatively short amount of time and you have to wonder if Bhall is even going to try gsmeplaning anymore this season since they're going to fold. This one will probably be close but unless Ashland rights the ship some Bloody will win 28-24.

#7 San Diego Sperm Whales vs. #14 Colorado Stoners

SD is coming off a brutal game against PORN that couldn't have been a fun watch if you were their players and/or coaching staff. Wouldn't fret much if I were them though since PORN tends to do that to almost everybody of their offense is clicking. SD gets a nice reprieve this game against a mediocre team at best. SD wins 30-6.

#9 Mannheim Steamroller vs. #13 South End Vipers

Should be a good game. I never know what to make of South End. They've been so up and down this season trying to pick their games can be maddening. Mannheim has done about as well as you can expect for a team of non-boosters. I'll take Mannheim 20-14.

Woh, this is a really good week. I think ASU makes it a little closer game against PORN, but PORN should still prevail.

Very curious about the results of almost every game here.

Possible. Just going with the trend of PORN scoring the most points that their opponent has let up all season up til that point.

Well, more that I think ASU scores over 10 points. They seem like the rushing team that's the closest to turning the corner and making it work.

I wanna say it's a 2 score game? ASU's able to do some stuff to keep the clock running, and final score is 28-17 or 31-20.

I would shit myself if ASU scores 17-20 points on PORN unless there is some key turnovers deep in PORN's territory.

I honestly didn't care about their offense. It was the 17 sacks and 4 fumble recoveries that upset me. The fact they only put up 50 points with a mostly passing offense loaded with S*'s is kinda sad

Still salty about that one huh?

I don't recall someone getting blown out and then calling it sad that the opposing team only scored 50. That really hurts

Lol c'mon. 50 points is 50 points doesn't really matter how you cut it. Plus PORN has 30 more TDs in the air than anybody else with one of the highest efficiencies in the tier. Nothing really sad about that.

I was expecting them to put up 40 points with about 70 plays. They did 54 with 100 plays, seriously I was expecting more. In other words, do better next time

And no, I'm not really trying to diss Panties, they have a strong offense, just saying it was the sacks that made the game brutal for me. All I watched were the sack plays. I just stated I really thought they would have scored more with how many plays they got because I have such a high opinion of their offense. I was just underwhelmed by their final output
