More from the NBA Finals: Why does Honda/Accura run ads pretending they produce go-fast cars when any casual perusal of the model lineups reveal that any model not named NSX isn't really all that quick/fast.

Civic Si, and Civic Type R tend to disagree with you. Both of those cars are quite decent in the speed department. If we go back to the past we could add the s2000 Acura Integra type R, Integra type GSR, Honda Prelude, and of course the NSX. The Honda CRX was also deceptively quick despite only having 100 horsepower due to it being slightly under 2000 pounds in weight.

Thought right now the go fast company would have to be Ford. The new 2016 Mustang GT is packing well over 400 horsepower, and can keep up with cars triple it's value. The Shelby 350GTR has a flat plane crank v8 engine that is making close to 600 horsepower, and good handling to boot. This can be yours for the price of 50k. Then we have the new Focus RS coming out that is an AWD hatchback making 350 horsepower, and then we have the Focus ST, and Fiesta ST which are also very respectable vehicles. Pretty soon they are also coming out with the Ford GT again, pretty much the only American supercar.

You should see the new Shelby GT350 Mustang. It revs at almost 9000 RPM as a V8. You get a lot of car for your money with that thing. Yeah, the s2000 is a great car. It revs incredibly high and is quite possibly the most manic car you will ever drive. Once the V-TEC kicks in you take off like a rocket and the scenery starts blurring around you. A very unique ride for sure.

Can't argue with personal taste, but it should be mentioned that spec wise most of the cars I mentioned blow that thing out of the water, especially on the Ford end. Really the only car that is comparable to that Saab is the Focus ST. They weigh about the same, have similar specs, though the Focus ST has more horsepower which is to be expected given that it is a lot newer and advancement in technologies.

Local officials in Ghor province said one of Ahmad’s distant relatives was suspected of killing a former Taliban commander. In December, militants dragged Ahmad from his house and cut out his eyes in retaliation.

Ahmad was still alive and screaming when the attackers began carving the skin off his chest, leaving his heart exposed. Then they threw the 21-year old laborer off a 10-story cliff, officials said.

Not as bad as the Toyota Prius ads.

101 degree high here in the mountains today. Ridiculously hot for us, but what I want to know is how the fuck people with Arizona deal with this on a daily basis. It's so bad.

it's drier in arizona. humidity is what makes the heat absolutely unbearable instead of just terrible.

Humidity is what determines how atrocious temperature feels. Ohio at 95 degrees and 90 percent humidity is unbearable. When I was in Arizona, even at 115 degrees...it felt hot but not that overbearing, oppressive kind of heat.
