Holy hell. Waaay down where I am only like 2 inches. Strong north wind is dropping everything over the Palmer Divide. The North area like the university up to Monument is awful though, been seeing totals there around 4-6 and climbing. Stay safe mate!

That's good to hear, cuz Idk if they'd take refunds or cancellations or anything yet and they're good seats haha.

Half snow day woop woop!

The State Patrol just posted a statement literally begging people to stay off the roads;

"We beg you to stay off the roads. Emergency equipment is also stuck. Roads are beginning to close as well."

Mate just sent me this video shortly after his work sent them home. Just driving barely able to see a thing and suddenly there's a stoplight out of nowhere.

Was just about to post something along those lines. It's Spring Break for me right now and people are getting snowed in

How bad is it up there? The lady and I have tickets to the Avs game tomorrow, and I'm seeing ridiculous totals and predictions already

The Wild will end up with the last playoff spot anyway, save yourself some agony.

Ya on my way home all the snow from the roof of my jeep fell onto my front window in the middle of driving, covered it completely and was too heavy for my wipers lol. Had to veer off using my instincts and brush it off. Would have done it early but couldn't stand being outside. Fire department also driving from intersection to intersection brushing lights off.

If they cancel you probably could get refunded or just tickets to the make up game. With DIA closed Philly may not get here unless they try tomorrow lol.

Oh, shit. You good? Fire Department and tow trucks are sliding off the roads down here, they're just telling people they're on their own for now

Kind hoping that happens actually. I don't wanna drive up but I will be damned if I waste that money! They closed I-25 north and south down here at Exit 150 up through Castle Rock, gunna be interesting.

From elsewhere:

"This is how it goes in Europe now. Everything barely worth saying will be said endlessly. And the only things that are worth saying won’t be said."

How much were the tickets ? I will send you the money for Christ's sake, stupid to worry about a few hundred bucks vs. the risk. On the other hand, it is natures way of weeding out the stupid.

If it makes you feel better, you are supporting the local NHL club financially even if you don't attend.

Lol yeah I'm fine. Was an interesting experience that's for sure. As long as Philly can get here if they're not already here they'll play. Shouldn't be too bad by game time.

Since you're feeling generous I could use some money too.

I couldn't actually take your money and feel good about myself, despite me being an asshole and not knowing you.

On a side note to rams: roads are pretty clear up north. In fact my buddy called me last minute to go to the Nuggets game and the seats are very good so I caved.

Yeah I was hearing that a ton. CDOT did a pretty good job and the sun came out of nowhere so it's looking alright.

Someone (probably unaware of the road conditions) was selling 2 club level tickets for $50 a piece compared to the 300 level 2rd row tickets I was holding at $60 a piece. Got rid of those quick and took the club tickets. Saved $20 and moved down into the fancy ass section woop woop

Interesting calving notes:

First calf heifer had her calf and then got overly excited and would ram the poor thing with her head every time the calf tried to stand up. It occasionally happens with a first timer so I called the vet to have him give me a prescription for a sedative, usually calms them down enough and you lock the calf and cow in a pen for a day or two and when the sedative wears off, the cow is used to having the calf there. The prescription on the bottle read "FOR BITCHY COW". It works about 90% of the time but unfortunately this case was the exception so I have the first orphan of the year that I am bottling. My kids are happy as hell but it is a pain in the ass.

-Just got the weight on a calf born at 1 am last night in over a foot of snow, 112 lbs., he is a big SOB of a bull calf. It isn't the biggest I have ever had but the average for a cow is usually in the low to mid 80's, heifers in the upper 60's if you use the right bull. Cow is fine, calf has no swelling and she had it in less then an hour.
