Waiting for these people to call me on a job. Had my second interview yesterday, they interviewed the only 2nd interview candidate today at 1:30 MST, and they said they'd have a decision shortly after that in the afternoon. Its 6pm and Im getting very antsy and nervous, is it unreasonable of me to expect that fking call?

38,000 people displaced, 147 square miles evacuated. For reference, that's only 6 square miles smaller than the city and county of Denver.

The populated area is the only thing that makes the fire noteworthy. Not very big compared to alot of fires in recent years.

Sad to hear but we did get told 2 people died while evacuating on the Black Forest

It's already basically out judging by the air shots. One minor smoke plume, almost nothing else.

A 147 square mile evac area is decently sizable.

for the evacuated area sure

but the fire size itself is what I was referring to

and dont count out a fire just because its only got one minor smoke plume, all it takes is one slop over or spot.

No. We are getting lightning on our district but we are available for off district deployment. Its just a matter of time until we get our resource order to go out somewhere else since we have crews from northern US here to backfill for us

That's ok--I'm sure your mom thanked the delivery guy in her own special way.
