Is this change for stadiums retroactive to teams already sitting in 14 cap? I.e. I reset my team back to 14 cap THIS season from AAA, with a team full of level ones, we are obviously NOT competitive in 14 cap, so our plan was to do two seasons in 14 cap before moving on.. With this change going into effect, I still have my FULL stadium.. Will I be loosing that next season if I'm sitting in 14 cap still with the full stadium? Please inform as it will impact decisions for my team.

anyone?

Agreed. We went through the struggles of building the stadium once. Why do we have to go through it again? I have had this team for 12 seasons now and when my current players are retired in another 7 seasons why should I have to start over?

Why shouldn't you? You are starting over with the players...why not start over with the statium if you choose? Or keep your team at high levels and recruit to keep it around.

People miss that if you want a high level team you need to recruit to keep it going...you cannot keep it going with the same group of agents. So if you want to start over with new players you simply start over with a new stadium, as well. If you want to compete at the high levels season in and season out you recruit and you build a large bankroll.

I don't care about a high level team. I don't want to recruit. Our group wants to stay together. We have been through the money struggle to build the stadium. Don't want to do it again.

In fact, why do most the people bitching about this have teams with $50mil+ full of CPUs or are in the lolminors.

Just go down the list, click on each person crying and you will see. Its not a bad time killer game.

+1

You are setting up two class of teams, those that were demoted under the old system and have an edge...and everyone else. Just apply the same rule to everyone. Sure, some will bitch...but only because they are going to be losing a HUGE edge.

None of that shocks me in the least. Unfortunately for GLB that group has been doing this for some time now. Report, ignore, report, ignore.

Cash farm team?

No Way....PT and Stern...

This subject should have been polled imo.

This thread is 54 pages long already so obviously there is a lot to say on both sides of this. Something this volatile probably should have asked the general population to chime in before announcing it. Just food for thought to Bort and company for next time. Afterall, like it has been pointed out: we are his clients and he should at least know what a majority of his clients would want here.

Yet you want the teams you'll compete against to have to do it? How sporting of you!

Wrong. And if I have to explain why you wont understand it anyways.

When you decided to post this, what reaction were you going for? It's mind-boggling that people continue to provoke me, then cry about it when I fire back.

Again, Alpine isn't split among multiple seasons the way that chronoaug claimed. In fact, I don't know anyone who is. You're not going to be 25% S3, 25% S4, 25% S5, and 25% S6, then replace each 25% as they hit the second season of decline. You don't do that because that roster isn't going to be good enough to compete against teams that are mostly at plateau. So yes, you would be able to weather decline better than those others teams, but it just means you'll stay mediocre for a long time. To be realistically competitive, you need a high percentage of dots from the same season, which means a down period once those dots hit the end of their careers.

I disagree. A majority of his clients think only about how THEY can game whatever system is in place or proposed to be in place for their own maximum advantage. The number of folks who vote on any issue with the best long-term interests of the larger community in mind are depressingly low.

You will be fine if you do not request to stay at the level 14 cap. You will move up one unless you finish last. If you finish last it is not a demotion request it is a you suck so bad you have to stay scenario. As I read it you should be fine.

Is there something wrong with a down period? As long as he fields a team of players, I don't see the problem.

Most people are willing to start over and work their way back up, but from now on that means getting punished for doing so.

No you dont, because you replace them with recruiting, I know because I've done it for about 2-3 seasons now with no trouble, in fact I'm usually done recruiting by day 40. Hell it's day 17 and Sofia will bring in 15-20 new dots and right now I only have 2-3 remaining holes.

I understand what you are saying and it does suck to have to replace 30% of your roster every season, but saying that it cannot be done is ludicrous.

Do NOT tell me it's not possible is all I'm saying because I've done it.

Wish I had more time, but I gots to go.....
